to get very intimate (as if this is something new to anyone who has followed my musical journey), recently i have rekindled a seemingly thought lost friendship. i reconnected with one of the members of Karma Army, Beastabrooks, and we decided a great way to usher in this rekindling would be to create and present an official remix to the song BIG BOBBY ROSS. this remix is intended to be an emphatic statement, exclaiming our desire to keep this friendship growing and to also regain lost flame by doing something we did best: terrorizing tracks together.

this feels like a very cathartic moment, and by making this song it has only reignited the flame of us wanting to bring more music to people together. with this remix, we express personal feelings of the rift that was driven between us as well as the circumstances that helped drive it. while we cannot change the past, we can certainly mold the future before us. here's to this song, our friendship, and many more dope tracks we have in the pipeline.

this is a release that may or may not serve as my penultimate journey in releasing hip hop music. sometimes i get really discouraged from doing this. for multiple reasons. do i have a place here? why do i make these songs? am i fully healed? have i done right by the people that matter the most to me?

this is a collection of songs that have been written and recorded over the past year from 2022-2023. this mixtape deals with themes of depression, loss, love, triumph, tragedy, drug abuse, mental illness, political and social unrest, and the overarching theme that things might not be as well off as they seem. this is intended to be a big coming out part but also more than likely my final stop in the world or hip-hop due to squandered potential, lack of engagement with other people, and feeling like a general annoyance to the world.

i appreciate anyone and everyone who listens to this. this release is my heart and soul for now, and i hope whatever i do next is worth all the time.

this track came together after SHIMMIE BOYz hit me up through DM's and he offered me this beat to use. while musically this is too much my style, the first obstacle was the length of the track. i have not written a rap song touching this length since my original demo mixtape RITVAL, which was the catalyst for the inspiration of this song. taking the sombre tones of the Depressive Suicidal Black Metal influence in the beat, and adding the howling haunting shrieks of The Cartographer, the one man behind the Florida based Black Metal project Queen of Heathens, couple that with lyrics influenced by my old days starting out in hip-hop, and how my life has changed in perception from that time to the current day. at almost 6 minutes in length, INCANTATION may be the most heartfelt, personal, and soul bearing song i've ever written.
