Born and raised in Chicago, between the Roseland and Morgan Park neighborhoods, LordNikonX has been syncopating beats for as long as he can remember and makes what he calls, "Music For People Who Need Therapy". Performing poetry and singing from a young age, he is the youngest child of a musically eclectic household. His mother is a retired Chicago Public Schools music teacher/concert pianist and his father was an African drummer/DJ. Music in his blood and trauma in his past, his music seeks to relate to and help process his abandonment by his father at a young age and the symptoms of anxiety, depression, and anger that have shaped his adult life.
