MANO sconosciuta

            misurata provvidenza

            per una vita ai margini


SCARPE senza volto

            a cui chiedi un rosso

           all'ombra del campanile

sono sorsi di ebrezza fetida

che danno tregua al presente

e LAPIDANO il futuro



In un doppio cartone

                sagomi un passato

                che tu solo conosci
               
E’ privilegio amaro

                indifferente ai credenti

Sfugge anche al lampione

Improvviso / il sonno /
l'attimo /
la Porta stretta /
quella che non ti aspettavi /
la luna è piena / velata /
sembra rovescia /

è un'allucinzione /
è la stessa che guardavi /
che altri guarderanno / 
che ancora guarderai / 
da un'altra te /
nel suo andare lento / 

non hai forza di interrogare le ombre /
le segui e ti confondi in loro /
muori e rinasci /

nuvole lente, cariche
accompagnano migrazioni
ingoiate dal mare

un cenno abbozza un volto
e da quello, milioni di occhi

navigano povertà
solcate da inganni d’oro

nuove schiavitù, pirati
Borsa delle solitudini

bussa alle spalle il tempo
nell’onda del silenzio

uno solo è il viaggio
e non lo hai mai iniziato

Migrazioni / Migrations

Zero empathy, pathologic narcissus

you throw illusions into a mirror of memories
resoar the skies where flight regenerates scars

you sit on the flat surface of a silvery sea
circle between circles
daughter of a star

you stares words aligned like teeth
ready to make glass powder of the memories

your thought pierces the form of the empathy

and you see him as a sick flower in the breath of the Species

outside of its devouring is the Nothing
spider

EMPATIA NEGATA, NARCISO PATOLOGICO
 
Rifiuti illusioni in un riflesso di amnesie risali cieli
fin dove il volo rigenera cicatrici siedi sulla superficie piatta di un mare argentato cerchio tra i cerchi figlia di una stella fissi parole allineate come denti pronte a fare polvere di memorie di vetro trafiggi sembianze di empatia FIORE MALATO nel respiro della specie
  
fuori da quel compiacersi è IL NULLA
 
sudore di ragno che TRAMA dolore
 
e restituisce DESERTI

Zero empathy, pathologic narcissus / Empatia negata, narciso patologio

Lorena Ulpiani was born in Italy on the 9th August 1959. In the 1980s she moved to Padua, where she still lives today. She graduated from the University of Verona in Literature with a major in Art. For over 20 years she has worked as a professional journalist but has never abandoned her colour palette. A lover of steam locomotives, she has published a number of historical texts and cultivates a passion for itineraries outside of the usual tourist circuits.
An interest in human rights in the 90s leads Lorena to work for the Cree, not your stereotypical bead threaders but rather the financially savvy natives of Northern Quebec. Immersed in the Quebec villages and lands, she develops a fascination for the language of geometry and a deeper understanding of aspects related to colour. The latter is complemented by her studies of sacred art, from Europe to China, and as far as Tibet, in a quest for that light which is immersed in a dimension beyond the visible and synonymous with peace and meditation. Works by Lorena Ulpiani can be found in private and public collections in Italy and abroad.
