Started off with a basic beat and a cool bass line and built the song from there! It kind of makes me think of the music that would play in the background of a movie when a popular mean girl (like Regina George) is introduced into the plot. Like, the moment when everybody turns to her and she's just walking down the hallway, flipping her hair and acting like she's all that. In that same vein, the song also reminds me of a song you could play when a model is walking down the catwalk.

When I heard the news about Cameron Boyce passing away, I couldn't believe my eyes - my brain couldn't register the headlines. How could such a beautiful soul, who always radiated positivity and was immensely talented and creative, pass away so suddenly? The next day (Sunday, July 7) was full of me going on social media to see any updates about the situation, to see how his friends and family were holding up, and hoping against hope that it was fake news. 

After a while, I decided that I didn't want to sit around and waste my time refreshing my timeline on every social media platform. It felt too empty and depressing. I felt an urge to channel my shock and sadness into writing a song, into being creative (Cameron would always remind his followers on social media to be creative whenever possible). I wanted to do something special in honor of Cameron and the light he shone and continues to shine on the world. Thus, this song was born. 

I hope it brings some form of solace to anyone who has lost someone near and dear to them.
