“‘Crying in the club’ isn’t just a meme for me — it’s truly a way of life,” Leigh laughs. “Crying while walking the dog, crying at the antique mall, crying eating oatmeal… you name it, I’ve cried there. All bets are off when it comes to making sense of a heart and soul that’s healing.”
“I wanted to capture that feeling — pairing lyrical honesty with a swell of emotion in the sonic landscape. I’ve often found myself having a cathartic cry (& surrender) in moments of great juxtaposition, so we tried to embody that blend of melancholic hope and release within this track.” - LL
