Lilia’ is my first release as SHE:ØNE (130bpm). A melodic techno track full of emotion, dedicated to my little sister who loved it from the very first listen. I wanted this piece to carry both delicacy and strength a balance that inspires all my music. For me, freedom lives in every beat, and this track marks the beginning of that journey.

Lorenzo BITW has made that paradigm irrelevant on his latest single, turning in a major, Summer-ready hit straight from the underground. Assisted by Ghanaian MC and singer Nawtyboi Tattoo (previous work with Slimdrumz and Gafacci), “Hello” is an afro beat love fest, all yearning vocals and sensual come ons, arranged flawlessly over Lorenzo’s sonorous keys and insatiable bass line. London’s Mr. Mitch (Planet Mu, Boxed) provides a fittingly low slung remix on the b-side, flipping afro beat into lounge house. Think Mr. Eazi meets Al Green. The package is out on March 14 and will be followed by Lorenzo’s debut album.

London DJ and producer @murder-he-wrote has been delivering his bass-fuelled, melting pot of sounds since 2014. He follows up his heatedly-received ‘Expectations’ EP with ‘Love / Loss’, a new three-tracker that sees him diving headfirst into UK funky territory, with the release already garnering praise from the likes of Laurent Garnier and Toddla T. ‘Cuíca Riddim’, which we’re premiering below, applies pressure via the cuíca – a Brazilian friction drum – which he’s overlaid with some pitch-bent vocals for blazing cut that you’ll want to get sweaty to.
