Thor: The Dark World is the soundtrack of the homonymous movie by Marvel Studios. Composed by Brian Tyler, the soundtrack was released digitally in 2013 by Hollywood Records. This arrangement by John Anderson adapts itself perfectly to wind bands of all sorts.

These are meetings lasting for one or several days and gathering musicians from several wind bands into one big occasional wind band with the sole aim of making music together. This hymn is a symbol for the friendships that grow very spontaneously at those musical meetings.

The Musical
The musical comedy 'Evita' dates from 1976 and was the third whom composer Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote in collaboration with lyricist Tim Rice. It ran for eight consecutive years in the London West-End and was already acclaimed on Broadway in 1979. 'Evita' tells the lifestory of the passionate second wife of the Argentinian dictator Juan Peron. Eva Duarte was born in Los Todos in 1919. Her life was similar to that of Cinderella. Though from modest origins, she became the most powerful woman in her country as spouse of Juan Domingo Peron who was president of Argentina from 1946 to 1955. She died of cancer on 26 July 1952, only aged thirty-three and was buried as a national heroin. Even after her dead, she was the object of a lay cult with the poorer Argentinian population. Only the army and the aristocracy had always opposed her position next to the president. The story is told by a cynical young man called 'Che'. He envies Evita's success while he cannot sell his invention, a new kind of insecticide. The splendid selection was made and arranged by Marcel Peeters. You hear succesively 'Overture', 'On this Night of a Thousand Stars', 'Eva beware of the City', 'Buenos-Aires', 'Goodnight and thank You', 'I'd be surprisingly Good for You', 'Another Suitcase in another Hall', 'Waltz for Eva and Che', and the evergreen 'Don't cry for me Argentina'.

These are It Ain’t Necessarily So, a very popular song sung by Sportin’ Life, a drug dealer presenting his cynical views on the Bible, and I Got Plenty O’ Nuttin’ in which Porgy sings about his poverty with a happy-go-lucky outlook on life. Skillfully arranged by master arranger Johan de Meij.

Lorenzo Bocci was born in Cecina in 1975, Tuscany, Italy.
He began his theoretical musical studies and the study of the trumpet at the age of 8 at the Music School in his town (Donoratico).
At the age of 12 he joined the Municipal Band, where he had his first relationships with the band repertoire and with band instrumentation.
After completing his master's studies he graduated in Trumpet at the "Pietro Mascagni" Musical Institute in Livorno.
He has played with various classical and jazz orchestras and ensembles, giving performances both in Italy and abroad (Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Czechoslovakia).
He carried out his military service with the Army Band as a trumpet player and as a collaborator in the music archive.
During this period he was more widely introduced to the knowledge of the musical band, from the historical point of view, of the instrumentation and direction, by Maestro Fulvio Creux with whom he still maintains a relationship of esteem and collaboration.
He directed the “Giuseppe Verdi” Philharmonic of San Vincenzo (LI) from 2001 to 2006, the Società Filarmonica Pisana (PI) from 2006 to 2009, the “Pietro Mascagni” Philharmonic of Cecina (LI) from 2001 to 2014 and from 2000 to 2018 the Peccioli Philharmonic Society (PI).
He is currently director of the Premiata Filarmonica “Giuseppe Verdi” in Calci (PI).
He is an arranger and composer for band, orchestra, chamber music groups and various more or less usual wind ensembles and many of his pieces are published by publishing houses:
HAL LEONARD-DE HASKE PUBLICATIONS, MOLENAAR EDITION, ALLEMANDA and MASTER SYMPHONY.
His arrangements are recorded on CDs by the best European and world bands such as: The Johan Willem Friso Military Band (Holland), The Band of the Belgian Navy (Belgium), The Police Band of Baden Wurttemberg (Germany), Slovenian Police Orchestra (Slovenia ), The Washington Winds (United States), Midwest Winds (United States), by the Brass Band “Soli Brass” (Holland), Banda de Música da Força Aérea (Portugal), Banda Sinfònica da Policia de Seguranca Pùblica (Portugal) and Landespolizeiorchester (Germany).
In 2010 he obtained the “P. Mascagni” of Livorno the II level Academic Diploma in Instrumental Teaching in the competition class A077 (Trumpet).
Since 2011 he has held the trumpet chair at the “L. Andreotti” of Pescia (PT).
Since 2021 he has held the trumpet chair at the “M. L. Niccolini” of Ponsacco (PI).
