20-year-old Jonas Woehl from Dresden may confidently be considered as one of the most aspiring German electronic music artists. He is ready to release his debut album called "White Sheets" by the end of March as we already provide an exclusive stream of his first single "The Place Pt. 2" featuring Locoto. The track will be released April 16th, 2014 including a Parra for Cuva remix.

Der 20-jährige Dresdner Jonas Woehl kann wohl getrost als einer der vielversprechendsten Hoffnungsträger der deutschen elektronischen Musik-Szene bezeichnet werden. Ende März wird er die Welt mit seinem Debütalbum, "White Sheets", bereichern. Einen exklusiven Stream der ersten Single "The Place Pt. 2", die in Zusammenarbeit mit Locoto enstand, könnt ihr jetzt schon bei uns hören. Das Stück wird am 16. Von "White Sheets", Teppichen und Farben: Jonas Woehl im Interview

trndmusik: Im Internet findet man wenig biografische Informationen zu dir. Erzähl doch mal, wie du zu dem geworden bist, der du bist. 

Jonas Woehl: Erstmal ganz musikunabhängig: Ich bin der Jonas Woehl, geboren am 28. April 1993 in Dresden und wohne da auch seither. Ich habe auch die Musikschule besucht seit ich sechs war. Da habe ich angefangen, wie fast alle, mit der Sopran-Blockföte. Von da aus ging’s dann zur Alt-Blockflöte und dann hab’ ich Klarinette gelernt. Zu Hause habe ich mir dann so ein bisschen Gitarre beigebracht. Musik war also schon immer irgendwie präsent in meinem Leben. Ich bin aber auch nicht sicher, ob meine musikalische Vorbildung wirklich Einfluss auf das hatte, was ich heute mache. Es ist jetzt nicht so, dass ich heute überlege, zu dem Ton könnte jetzt der passen… Das funktioniert eher über Trial-and-Error bei mir.
