Yakuza: Project Himiko is a fan-made soundtrack for an imaginary spin-off entry of the Yakuza series. Unlike my other projects, I tried to take direct inspiration from many tracks from the past of the franchise, but not directly remixing them. Instead, this project follows a story on its own pace, mixing my own style with the previous installment's established works.

The namesake, Himiko, was inspired by two factors. Both the historical and mythological figure, Queen Himiko, who was influential enough to be mentioned in Chinese sources that could be a great namesake (nickname) for a protagonist. However, the real reason is that while main entries should retain the focus on protagonists similar to Kiryu, Majima or Ichiban, a spin-off could take the liberty to introduce a woman as the main character. While it's only men who can be indeed direct members of the organized crime, we have seen even in the series indirect influencers or "rule breakers" already. 

If the project seems to be popular enough, I'll certainly make more original tracks and even some reimagined versions of already existing music too.
