Los Darth Vatos is a Chicano mid-life crisis turned sonic gold. The sound bloomed in the backyards, open mics, and garages of San Diego, but was seeded by the pop culture pocho upbringings of the members who all hail from the desert borderlands of Califas . The crew of five is a haphazard collection of influences, experiences, and personalities. The result is energetic, raw, unapologetically unfiltered, power pop, garage-spawned tunes with a healthy dose of punkish soul. Vocal lead duties are split between Rosalia “La Princessa Ros-Leia”, and Emilio “Han Chulo”; who also drives a steady rhythm guitar. Carlos “Don Vader” brings metal mixed blues to lead guitar, and bassist Ernie Jesus “Chuy” provides the band’s solid backline backbone. Finally, Juan Sebastian “Obi Juan Kenobi”  brings a fierce punk inspired sensibility that ties the sound together.
