I used to think blessing belonged to the clean.
To the ones who held their lives together.
To the ones who hadn’t broken themselves on the wrong altars.

But Hebrews tells a different story.
A story older than law.
Older than temple.
Older than failure.

Abraham met a priest in the wilderness
a king with no genealogy
no beginning recorded
no ending written.
Melchizedek.
The one who carried blessing before the covenant existed.

Abraham gave him firstfruits
not because he was told to
but because something in him recognized
the presence of a greater Kingdom.

And now… standing in these shattered streets…
I see firstfruits rising from my own ruins.
Small.
Quiet.
But undeniable.

They are not the harvest I imagined.
Not the triumph I demanded.
But they are holy.
Evidence that God was here before I ever arrived
and will be here long after my strength is gone.

This City, this Redemption, 
was never built on my worthiness.
It stands on a Priest whose origin cannot be traced
and whose reign cannot be undone.

If Abraham offered in the wilderness
then I will offer in the ruins.
My surrender.
My gratitude.
My firstfruits.

Not because I understand everything
but because I finally recognize the King who receives them.
