With great joy I present to You another seasonal multi-collaboration to carry on the tradition! *This Year* there are 9 wonderful people (and 1 dog :D yes.. I count the dog as a featured artist, animals deserve song-credit too ^-^) lending their voices and talents to sing and play along in a very *Jolly Way*!!

Wish List of One is a non-denominational, internationally-friendly holiday song about human connection, past reflection, future direction (hey, that rhymes!), inclusion of others whose beliefs are not our own, acceptance of where we're at and who we are, with hope for where we're headed and who we aspire to be, and encouragement of others to shine in their own unique way along the way!

Imprint is Rachael's second single of 2022, a mystical, grief-fuelled exploration of her relationship with the coast-dwelling Cormorants of her New Brighton home. Referencing the physical landscapes of the Mersey Estuary, the Irish Sea, and the Liverpool city skyline with its ever watchful Liver Birds, Imprint evokes a Beatles-esque, Kate Bush inspired, time-tripping spin around the strangeness of grief and the beckoning solace of the natural world.

Shattered Dreams

This song takes you on a darker, but colorful journey through re-discovering feeling everything. It was written during a period of time where I was struggling with the most difficult bout of depression I have ever experienced and the numbness that ensues after. “Rain” is about feeling everything again and not being afraid to go into the darker places we tend to keep buried. Its about feeling the emotions we may distract ourselves from and even avoid in order to find healing.

When I wrote “Rain” in 2020, it was quite literally raining outside as I was exiting my car to return inside my apartment. It takes me back to the re-discovery of bodily sensations that my depressive episode had hijacked. As I felt each gentle rain drop on my skin, it felt like I was in my body again and I just stood standing in the rain soaking in every sensation I was feeling. Taking in the fresh smell of the rain, the gentle breeze, and hearing the soft pitter-patter of each droplet landing on the sidewalk. Each moment of stillness had the most profound effect on me. Its with this in mind that I share this creation with you.

Aftermath is my most vulnerable release yet. It is a journey through dark, ambient, yet cinematic, and electronic elements that shed light on how personal rumination takes us out of the present reality. Aftermath tells an incredibly visceral story of how ruminating on past experiences can destroy our inner equanimity.

Aftermath was written in 2016 while I was dealing with immense feelings of guilt and shame. I kept allowing my mind to delve into the past and dwell on the events that brought these feelings. This song is a reminder to both my self and others, to not let the past rob you of the beauty, peace, and joy that is in the present moment. With this message in mind, my producer Nicci Gomez and I crafted a track that feels mysterious, haunting, and reminiscent of how these thoughts slowly make their way into our conscious mind until they take over the entirety of our mental environment. Elements in this track were also inspired by the Diablo 2 soundtrack

Aftermath

I am ME, and I am You-min. Anything else within these two lines is simply... All Good. 

Making up boxes, no matter how one frames it, is just prop-a-gating the same ole' divisive cracks under a fresh coat of bad faith-paint. So stop marking up tribal bounds, and instead, let's all BOND within the only Spectrum that should really matter: this gorgeous You-n-I-verse that we all share.
