Spanish DJ & producer, Rafa Barrios, makes his debut on Leftwing : Kody's Lost Records imprint this summer, with his brand new 'Suazer' EP. Born and bred in Seville, Rafa started producing and deejaying from a young age and quickly garnered support from AAA DJs including Carl Cox, Reboot, Chus & Ceballos, Marco Carola, and many more who continue to play his tracks today. His productions have found homes on respected labels in the industry including Toolroom, Saved, Repopulate Mars, Hottrax, Kaluki and Sola and he's played sets in some of the biggest clubs across the globe. The 'Suazer' EP showcases Rafa's signature Iberican sound, fusing crisp drums, playful percussion, pulsating basslines, hypnotic chopped vocal cuts, mesmerising loops and a grooving low-end; resulting in two compelling groovers that will have you up and dancing from the get-go and perfect for the clubs re-opening this summer!

Lost Records have called upon newcomer PAWSA to showcase his talents on the label’s third release.

The title track “Pilot” delivers a dose of straight up jacking grooves with infectious old school drums, precise hi-hats and growling basslines. “Pilot” introduces PAWSA’s slick productions setting the stage perfectly for the second track on the EP “The Narcissist”.

Built on similar foundations to “Pilot”, “The Narcissist” kicks off with a more stripped back soundscape, playing, sinister vocals against a low slung bass line. 
The final track of the EP “Pretty Good Debbie” is a more laid back affair the swinging hi-hats pushing the track through to a mean build up and drop.

To round off the EP the icing on the cake is a remix of “Pretty Good Debbie” from Italian legends Supernova. After a blistering 2013, Supernova bring their dark & dubby twist to the table, with key features of the original in tact cementing them into a heavier groove whilst playing off atmospheric build ups and break downs.

For the next Lost release Leftwing & Kody have drafted in Max Chapman. Only three years ago Max was tipped by Pete Tong as one to watch.  

For LR 006 we have a 5 track EP. Jackin' leads the way with it's deep hooks and solid vocal samples. This time on a remix tip is another Lost brother PAWSA who adds his signature instrumentation. On a more high tempo synth groove with a trippy rolling bassline Max cleverly masters 'Holding On.'  Label bosses Leftwing and Kody add a more melodic spaced out vibe when they join in on remix duties with their trademark arrangement. 

To wrap this up 'Too Late' speeds things up a notch with a lively female vocal building on a more techy sound throughout

For Lost Records latest release we headed up North for a bumper package from the forthright of County Durham’s clubland. Andy Lee has been on our radar for a while and from his production skills in a previous life we knew his soulful roots would work well on a classic deep dancefloor vibe for Lost. The lead track ‘Deeper’ is a relentless drum arrangement sitting nicely with a bass groove. The yelping vocal sample accommodates the driving beats creating a dark underground bouncing Balearic record.

On the remix, Josh Butler steps up with his characteristic haunting bassline rearrangement and a much higher tempo synth collection giving a more jackin’ feel to the original. The infrequent vocal stabs topped with a killer breakdown create an overwhelming rhythm throughout.

Andy’s B-side of this EP ‘Hex’ is based on a funky synth arrangement. The slowly filtered vocal hook and the step class style drums matched with a distant breakdown showcase this stellar dancefloor sound.

For the latest output on Lost, Max Chapman produces the goods once again, this time joined by upcoming Kieran Andrews for their inauguration collaboration. The Temperature EP is a straight up three-track compact dancefloor package. 

The lead track Temperature is a delightful slice of deep house with lingering bassy washes, jacking drum patterns topped off with a killer female vocal arrangement. The big drop and pressing vocals shine through for this melodic garage style anthem. 

Ten Twenty One is a much darker house vibe. With some deep hooks and synth patters sitting kindly with a tough bassline, completed with a cleverly spaced out furious vocal stab. Last but by no means least The Groove single is a more percussion heavy techy vibe with an unrelenting bassline and a driving vocal sample.

Next up for Lost records is this bouncing 5 track EP from Brazilian duo Drunky Daniels. They dived in to our A&R radar with their breakthrough release ‘Bump In Yo Stereo’ at the start of the year. We’re now thrilled to have them on board. First up is a neat collaboration with Mateus B, aptly titled Bad Boy Boogie. This one’s a driving tech house vibe with a killer vocal stab and whopping drop. This is complimented by an amazing remix by Solc who brings his trademark bass and groove to the track.

Breakdown is a tougher messy affair with solid drum arrangement, some spaced out special fx vocals and a rolling bassline throughout. This one is the stand out dancefloor track for us. Cera Alba’s Lost Warehouse Mix is an immaculate percussion heavy number adding another slice of deepness for those after hour party occasions.

Bassriders showcases clever preparation of more dubby sounds layered with a jacking bassline. This rocking beat is rounded off with a devious vocal sample, which is set to ride the bass expertly on the likes of Funktion Ones worldwide.

Formerly known as Taty Munoz, Miane steps up to become a name in her own right with releases so far on well-established labels; Knee Deep In Sound, Moon Harbour and Rawthentic plus a forthcoming release on Steve Lawler’s ViVA. Title track ‘I Can’t Sleep’ further cements her place in the industry as one of the most interesting names in Tech House right now with its punchy drums, mesmerizing atmospherics and a cavernous low-end. ‘Gear’ rounds of the EP with more of the same; crisply mixed percussion, an infectious bassline, captivating vocal stabs and percolating rhythms.

Manchester-based DJ and producer Tom Oliver, pka Rooke makes his debut on Leftwing : Kody’s Lost Records this October with ‘The Snare’ EP. His past releases have garnered support from heavyweight DJs including Ki Creighton, DJ SKT, Del-30 and Mark Jenkyns all playing his tracks and Rooke releases have found their way onto labels including Under No Illusion, Stashed, Erase Records, Lost Audio and Eight0Eight. Title track ‘The Snare’ offers the perfection combination of hard-hitting drums with rolling basslines and hypnotic looped vocals while B-side, ‘Digital’ rounds of the EP with cosmic synths, crisp percussion, snappy drums and signature bassline. Definitely one to watch in 2020!

Tech House advocate Iglesias joins the Lost Records camp this month, bringing his brand new ‘Stamina’ EP to the label. Over the last couple of years, the London based DJ and producer has climbed the ranks and catapulted himself to the top of the charts with lauded releases on respected imprints including; Kaluki, Sola, Nothing Else Matters, Solid Grooves, VIVa and Repopulate Mars to name but a few. Lead track, ‘Stamina’ kicks things off with effervescent percussive patterns, infectious hooky vocals and a rolling, sultry bassline over a pulsating low end. Following suit is ‘Cat Scratch’; a slightly more energetic roller which offers intricate drums layered with instrumental atmospherics, undulating grooves and infectious bassline. Definitely one to keep an eye on for 2020!

Hailing from Southern France, Amine Edge & DANCE make their debut on Leftwing : Kody’s Lost Records this month with their brand new ‘To The Point’ EP. Having taken the dance world by storm with their ground-breaking sound and high energy shows, this dynamic duo have already released on a multitude of powerhouse labels including Toolroom, SOLOTOKO, Rawthentic, Desolat, ABODE and of course their own signature imprint CUFF. Lead track, ‘The Drumz’ kicks things off bringing rolling percussion, a playful bassline and hooky vocal cuts layered over the duo’s trademark drums, which always go off with a bang. B-side ‘Weekend On’ follows suit with more rocking beats, hip-swinging hats, cavernous cymbals, booming sub bass and slick synths making for an irresistible infectious groove.
