At last! This is Lost Soul Enterprises big 15th release on wax, a tidy compilation of off-kilter dance floor cuts and misfit synthpunk anthems.
Side A commences with the gothic, neon-soaked Miami bass of ALONZO's "Cruising with Pap," featuring sinister verses delivered by a shadowy syrup-sipping secret guest vocalist. Up next is bucking bronco NICK KLEIN's slow-mo industrial headbanger "Posture Test.” The sonic equivalent of a sweat-soaked concrete floor, it lurches along at its own mechanical pace amid the metallic hiss and howl. Lastly, wild synth lines and ethereal dubbed-out samples dart in and out over a tough, punchy rhythmic foundation in NAEEM's "TLX," an android's sci-fi electro vision gone haywire.
On the B side, HEIDI SABERTOOTH’s “Was It You” launches us deep into chugging acidic territory, combining enigmatic spoken vocals and a psychedelic, slowly evolving SH-101 line over a persuasive groove. Like a slap in the face after that comes raucous synth-punk powerhouse SSPS with “Paradise Lozt,” raw as fuck, chanting a litany of dystopian tales atop pumping drums and a wash of demented organ-like synth stabs. Finally we close with the short but powerful “New Vape City” by the nomadic DOUCE ANGOISSE - an absolute earworm, a doleful coldwave ballad whose lush production plays perfect counterpoint to the icy, deadpan sentiments within.

R Gamble is a producer, DJ, and performer who lives in Brooklyn NY. Originally hailing from Memphis, where he was inspired by a strange Mississippi delta concoction of garage synth-punk, low-fi rap and avant garde experimentation, he eventually made his way to NYC where he founded the party collective and label Lost Soul Enterprises. What began as a monthly night in the infamous Bushwick dive bar Wreck Room is now a residency at Good Room, H0L0, and The Lot Radio, celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. In addition to his own label, R Gamble has released music on others such as Mannequin, Public System Recordings, Primitive Languages, Black Lodge, Kraftjerkz, Sisters, and Marguerite Records. He also makes retrofuturistic electro productions under the moniker Drakkar Noir, and is one half of industrial duo Fade Accompli along with Myn, and synth-pop duo Zeta Sect with Heidi Sabertooth.

Originally released in 1990 ‘Voaria’ was written by Benjamin Nhassavele and produced & arranged by the late Tata Sibeko, the revered South African producer and member of Kabasa. Taken from the LP of the same name ‘Voaria’ was released at a time when early house music was emerging as a key influence in the South African musical landscape, an evolvement of the Bubblegum pop sound that had fused disco and boogie with township funk. Characterised by Roland kick drums, Yamaha DX7s and Juno Synthesisers the Kwaito sound is the musical heartbeat of ‘Voaria’. 

As well as being in Novidade, Benjamin toured the world extensively as part of Alec Kaholi’s Umoja and ‘Voaria’ is a song about his desire to go back to Maputo, his hometown in Mozambique. Featuring Benjamin on lead vocals ‘Voaria’ comes in 2 versions, a main House mix on the A side and the Clubhouse mix on the flip which switches up the arrangement placing more emphasis on the groove. The 12” is housed in a full sleeve jacket by Bradley Pinkerton based on the original release design.

The moment arrived! Today the wizard Intergalactic Gary @intergalactic_gary lands on Italo Moderni with a cult mystic mix for our series. 

The Dutch West Coast scene is as fabled as Detroit techno and Chicago house. And Intergalactic Gary − a DJ for 35 years − has been involved with it since day one. The cult selector had a residency at The Hague's first ever house club in 1992 and since then has honed a style that has lead the legendary I-F to call him ‘terminator’ such is the focus he has on the decks.
Whether working you into a trance or keeping you guessing with improbable bridges between raw acid, 70s Italo or fresh techno, he's a flawless, instinctive DJ who is predictably unpredictable. Whether new or old, Gary doesn't care, “as long as it has character and something interesting going on that grabs the attention."
In the studio he’s laid down mutant, disco-tinged electro as The Parallax Corporation and electro and ambient synth pop soundtracks as The Conservatives, both with I-F. He's also recently collaborated with Pasiphae on Bio Rhythm, and for Stroboscopes and Smokemachines, a new documentary about underground electronic music. He aims simply to make music he would want to hear on a night out and imbues his work with a sense of melancholy, but always paired with driving dance floor dynamics that mix up analogue and digital textures. 
A regular at Dekmantel both in Amsterdam and Selectors in Croatia, he has also played China, Australia and Japan, Unsound in Krawkow and the No Way Back Afterparty in Detroit. Only the classiest DJs play these parties; they have hardcore crowds who have high expectations, and Intergalactic Gary is someone who cannot fail to win over even the most hard to impress crowds thanks to the unique craft of his art.

Lobster returns to it's scorched earth roots with a dark, gritty blend of techno-based power traxx from New York staple Heidi Sabertooth.

Tracks scraped from the surface of the NY underground. Proper hardware jams with a raw, scorched edge!

Eyes Are Watching combines punched kicks, squelched synths and pitched-down grunting mosh vox. The mood then lightens a touch for the hypnotic, dusty hardware workout Non Such. Jackin' Chitown vibes peppered with plucked & arp'd synths.

On the flip Makin Cutz is pure can-recorded techno. Overdrive-central in a caged industrial basement. Detuned acid & raw af hammering drum programming. Then for the finishing move, Weeding Through Distortion adds some off-club IDM-tinged sonic flavour to proceedings. Echoes of early Warp (think elements of Autechre live in Wakefield in the early 90's) shot through with some hard US noise processing. A tough, melodic gem.
