Lost in the Rhythm with special guest Mari Ella

Introducing the first vinyl release on our new Lost in the Rhythm record label, officially launching this autumn. A community-first initiative curated by London DJ, promoter, and creative Rob Coley AKA RevolutionsLDN, this new imprint will focus on blending the authenticity of timeless, deep, and soulful rhythms with contemporary beats crafted by some of the world’s best-established and emerging producers.

We open this first volume with a mesmerising original jam from Portland’s Floyd Vader (Yoruba Records/Seed Recordings). Floyd, a house/dance music DJ, producer, musician and dancer showcases his masterful musicality and deep connection to the Afro-Latin diaspora with this soulful and deep melodic dance track primed and ready for the more adventurous dancefloor. 

Next up, London stalwart Shukie (Rekawa Sound) and guitarist Nevar smooth out the DJ SoliD-produced track “I Like to Kiss,”. Taking cues from some of the original aspects of the Toronto producer’s deep house, drum and bass, garage, and rare groove influences they reconstruct the track into a warm, smooth and soulful excursion that perfectly highlights the distinctive and delicious spoken word refrain of Chicago artist Sarah Lyons.

On the flip side, we feature one of Sydney’s best-kept secrets, WiP label boss and house producer Mikekon. Here he drops a brand new, more club-oriented remix of his anthemic “It’s Yours,” featuring the sultry vocals of Novakane Omega. Mikekon’s career, heavily influenced by the underground music scenes of New York, Chicago, and Detroit, continues to shape his signature style, and here we have a driving example of what he’s capable of.

Rounding up the set is a hot one from the Toronto duo Guerilla Science (Cullen G and Kevin “Jazzy” J), who bring us a blazing late-night track that’s one for the heads. Heavily rooted in the deep, tracky house music of old, the producers cook up a hypnotic track rich in texture and a perfect addition to the collection of the more discerning deep house DJ.

Follow our journey as we set out to keep the original spirit of dance alive and elevate the signal for the next generation. Embrace the authentic, soulful, deep rhythms we hope to curate as we set forth on this inaugural Lost in the Rhythm release.

Took a minute, but we're back for 2024 with a brand new run of Lost in the Rhythm radio shows broadcast on YouTube, Soundcloud and live on DanceGruv Radio. Get ready to dive into the first musically-rich episode, where we dig deep into the realms of soulful, deep, and afro-infused dance music. This month, resident DJ Rob Coley is joined by a very special guest in the form of Toronto beatmaker, DJ and producer Cullen Greaves AKA Cullen G from Guerilla Science Music, who drops a fierce selection of vibes in the second hour of this 120-minute broadcast. We're also super happy to partner this year with DanceGruv, a leading internet radio station dedicated to showcasing the best in underground dance music and broadcasting live from Durham, North Carolina USA.
