Great local DJs are the glue of our scene. And Tristan Phillips, aka @pastel.past.el, is one we’ve firmly had our eye on for the last 18 months.

Having impressed us at the Finer Things Festival and in support of names like Tom Trago, Moomin and COEO, Pastel has now stepped up to deliver the latest Lost Sundays Sessions. Expect the likes of O’Flynn, Fort Romeau, Nachtbraker, Hugo Massien, Alex Boman and more. Strap in and stream it now via the link in our bio.

“I had a good time cooking this mix up. Clubs may be shut for the foreseeable future, but ‘Untitled Love Story’ by Wild Reflection is a tasty teaser of what’s to come. It was released on one of Russia’s finest labels, GLBDOM. This track (along with the rest of the album) has been on repeat for me for over a year now. It has the perfect ratio of ‘percussive floor energy’ to ‘atmospheric’ to get me going. 

HATT.D is a producer who I’ve recently deep dived into, introduced via my lovely friend Tom Bruce (of Start Local Records). I’ve been rinsing HATT.D’s whole discography, it’s that good. Keep an ear out for his track ‘Birds At The Lake’ from his recent ‘Welcome to Paradise’ LP, emerging around the half way point of the mix.

Finally, I had to include ‘Good Day’ by Bristol-born artist, Wilfy D. It’s a must-hear UK-garage tune with extra oomph. Don’t mind the backspin, I had go with it!”

HDSN is an artist of distinct talent. Even he´s still flying under the radar of the broader audience chances are high that you came across his musical output that is singularly creative. His work not attached to any trends. Instead, he operates within a deeply personal sphere, working influence from experiences spanning his lifetime and old-skool records that inspire him. He made his name with balmy house thumpers carried out over twelve instalments on NBAST for the best part of more than five years now. So it´s no wonder that he follows up with a beefy sequel to his previous released joint “For My People” a release that did connect as closely with people’s hearts as it does with their feet in the club. “I House You But Love” marks another fruitful EP for the producer. A record that feels like he’s just cracking the next piece of the puzzle. Hugo Horwood (Holo himself) is originally from Melbourne and recently moved to Berlin. His music draws from unexpected genres, including pop, classic rock, acid and 90s hip hop, to create a sound that is truly his own.

The Australian producer burst onto the scene in 2019 after seeing his first track 'Atlas' uploaded on the Houseum YouTube channel and after releasing his debut EP of the same name, with house music heavyweight UK label Shall Not Fade’s sub-label Lost Palms. The EP featured the deep house classic ‘In My Dreams’ that earned over 3 million streams on Houseum channel.

Hugo recently released two EPs on Houseum Records' sub-label Ellipse Records and on Noire & Blanche (Délicieuse Musique). He will play his first gig in Paris this month in September 2022 at La Java alongside Gavinco and HSM (Houseum). An album is in the pipeline on Houseum Records, stay tuned!

Manchester-based producer Sameed makes his debut on D.C. imprint Better Listen Records with his 4-track EP, Ode to G. This record is Sameed’s first and only release of 2022 and sees the lad explore familiar territories of US funk, soul and R&B to create his signature brand of looped samples and melodies. 

The title track and “Want You” comprise the A-side and introduce listeners to what can be described as an upbeat, disco-house affair. Placing soulful vocals at the forefront of each, Sameed crafts two, captivating tales of love at its infatuation stages. The theme carries itself through onto the B-side of “Ode to G” with Sameed’s dub mix of “Feel It.” However, this time around, the producer applies a percussive, stripped-down approach in creating a climactic gospel-infused weapon. To finish things off, Sameed demonstrates his versatility with the tune Baby. Almost like a cigarette after sex, this original provides listeners with a much-needed respite by incorporating styles more resembling UK future garage than the soulful influences from tracks prior. Although unexpected, Baby provides a welcomed change of pace that shows another side of love - one that feels more real and less rose-colored.
