We all acted normal

The Very Last Fish In The Sea

They all disappeared without any warning
Left on a clear pacific summer morning
Perhaps it was man, or a beast of the deep
But there was just one last fish in the sea

She swam all alone through the bright coral city
The sea turtles watched her and said what a pity
It must be so sad, it must be so very lonely
To realize that you are the very last fish in the sea

But the blue was bluer, and there was more to explore
Cuz she didn’t have to go to school anymore
There’s more sea to see when it’s just me 
It’s not so bad to be the very last fish in the sea

But then comes the night and darkness with it
Cold as stone and oh so silent
When hours are long and all around you is nothing
Who would want to be the very last fish in the sea

Just when she thought she was alone for sure
She found a single star on the ocean floor
Who lifted an arm in a simple greeting, saying
It’s nice not to be the very last fish in the sea

And the blue was bluer, there was more to explore
When we found we weren’t alone anymore
There’s more sea to see when you’re with me
Together we can be the very last fish in the sea
