Hope you enjoy this breakbeat bootleg of a trance classic, Hydra - Affinity. A stunning track by The Thrillseekers from 2003. Have given it the Broken Chair treatment, keeping much of the main riff but adding a menacing arp and a rather fat bass line, oh and some breakbeat drums of course! Loved the vocals on this track, and having wanted to get into production for forever - plus knowing just enough Ableton to be dangerous lol - I decided to try my hand at giving it the breaks "treatment". Didn't know what to call it since it's not exactly a remix, and a bit more work went into it than a mashup... so it's an anomaly ;-)

Ever since my good friend Andrew Pratt (DJ Reimos) brought them to my attention I loved pretty much every track they have ever produced. 

Despite having a highly unique, distinctive and bass-driven sound they always bring huge amounts of variation, fusing their style with a broad spectrum of genres including old skool rave, acid house, big beat, drum & bass, funky disco and guitar samples, progressive breakbeat and vocal trance. 

Mixing this set was a seriously enjoyable experience. I hope I have done them justice with this collection of brilliant tunes. Let me know what you think in the comments...

Instantáneamente cuando escuché la versión original de Tanya Loca las vocales me transportaron a un lugar nostálgico y me imaginé que podían ser parte de un track formato pista. Justo venía buscando ocupar el espacio de cierre para el Live Set que vengo tocando durante 2025 y probé las vocales con una base Breakbeat y la composición general salió así rápido en 2 semanas. Me gusta mucho el resultado y lo que genera esta canción que ya de por sí tiene una carga emocional muy fuerte. Espero que lo disfruten :))
