The very first time I listened to the original, I recorded myself clapping in the pattern I laid out in this track. Every time I listened to the song afterwards, I kept hitting the table (using my fingers) in the percussion rhythm that can be heard in the background of my remix, so incorporated that rhythm into the edit as rims for added bounce. I syncopated a couple of bass notes in short intervals to make it suit my silly style of dancing.
