From the tinges of acid on “Helix” to the relentless rhythms of “Mylar”, and the pulsating drums and tones on “Metric”, KS002 takes elements of classic house deep into the outer reaches of space, adding layers of cosmic frequencies. “Dreamware” brings the voyage to a close, departing from familiar 4/4 territory with evolving breaks and melodic reverberations.

‘Tunnels’ begins with a flurry of drums before being enveloped by sub-bass pressure, like stepping directly into a basement club in full flow. As the track climaxes, saxophones sweep the air like green-spoked lasers overhead, creating a contrast of pinpoint clarity against the background atmosphere. Though sonically well outside Bristol’s dubstep legacy, it accurately portrays the smudged perception of a peak time rave. On the flip, we find the more introverted 'First Light', wherein the group downshift from the buzz of a bustling room to the hum of one’s head as dawn breaks. It is a moment of spacious solitude shared only, as Cunningham pictures it, with “swans fighting over polystyrene chip boxes” in the canal below.

After a promising debut release in 2019 on his own imprint Burnin Music Recordings, Pegasvs returns in 2020 with a track called "Mojo".

The song is an hommage to the classic old school sound we like so much with a contemporary deep house twist. Sampling an obscure documentary on Detroit techno the track praises The Electrifyng Mojo: a mysterious radio presenter who shaped a generation of music-lovers in Detroit, throughout southeastern Michigan and Canada and was of importance to the development of Detroit techno.

The result is a 5 mins long journey, led by a deep bass, obsessive percussion sounds and a stomping kick, which take its listeners into a dark basement of Detroit City....
