Architectural’s original foundations were anonymous, recognising no need to reveal who was behind the alias. But the same man who took DJ booths and festivals by storm as Reeko needed a new alter ego to channel his effervescent spells of creativity. 

Diving deep into another realm, Architectural delivers powerful and intelligent sounds that amalgamate classic influences with his own modern vision of techno. It is a route that has taken the Catalonian-based Asturian creator on a very different artistic path to the one initially mapped out.

Architectural laid the foundations with five solid releases between 2010 and 2014 on his own label Architectural Records (Architectural 001-005). In 2012 Architectural released Peacetime with Semantica Records, an imprint revered for their highly critical A&R process and so the selection of Architectural proved he was on the right track; both at the hypothetical drawing table and with the first hard samples of his construction work.

Juan's next step in 2013 certified Architectural's maturity. He published The Blue Album (Reeko & Architectural) with PoleGroup, a fusion of his two projects that resulted in a spatial and futuristic sound with jazz hues and feels of a movie soundtrack.

2014 brought The Secret Chapter, a release steeped in cinematic flavour and inspired by what may happen at night in a remote forest. The mood was dark and boasted an outstanding fusion of jazz and techno.

In 2015 Architectural launched Amour with Dutch label Wolfskuil, courtesy of Darko Esser, a release of pure quality. As a record it was far more dance floor focused than the preceding release, bringing luminosity, melody and life without ever departing from the intimate moods and obsession for precision that have become a hallmark of Architectural's work.

As the project defined and matured, Juan finally revealed that himself as the force behind both Reeko and Architectural. Does this mean he's not entirely sure about what he wants to create? Does he suffer from bipolarity? Maybe, instead, he's the kind of artist that during the Renaissance would have been called a total artist, a true creator, a maestro in the widest sense of the word.

Alongside his concrete releases, Architectural’s concept has also been delivered to iconic clubs and festivals worldwide. Dancers and music lovers at Printworks, MMA, Bassiani, Tresor, Robert Johnson, Awakenings & Lev Festival have all had the opportunity to absorb his next-level creativity and vision. As the lines and framework of Architectural’s concept continue to rise and give form, the landscape of Juan’s techno vision becomes an ever more defined audio world in which to immerse the mind and soul.

Revelation of Sound is pleased to present Biocym. Biocym is an artistic project from Italy that seeks to awaken emotions by expressing its feelings towards reality and the use of atmospheres and scenarios reflected in its sound. The main nucleus of his work reflects the attitude that man must embody in order to move in a dark and inscrutable reality that he must face when he inevitably explores it. Biocym represents the way in which the artist approaches the way of awakening in himself by contemplating the infinite variety of landscapes of reality and proposes his progressive deepening. His music is the meeting point of his two influences: natural sounds and those other sounds generated by his creativity.

Hydrangea is a new French electronic producer, doing techno music deeply inspired by nature and its surroundings. She began producing music in early 2014, influenced mainly by the deep and hypnotic Italian techno.

So far, the Annulled Music Imprint has released Hydrangea's debut album, called 'Dawn Lights', a sensorial trip that captures each of your senses. She also released an EP on Two&Two Records and tracks on VA compilations, such as The Wandering II Compilation out on Silent Season. Besides being constantly preoccupied in reshaping her sound and developing new ways of expression through music, she's also a graphic designer and photographer under the alias Horty Shooter, managing the artworks for different music releases and graphic art projects.

Hydrangea is a french young girl from the west of France, in the middle of the countryside, very influenced by nature, quiet and wild places.
A really opened and strong electronic digger, a graphist and also a part of Less Is Techno and Inveins. She quickly found inspiration, technic and by far maturity in the mysterious way of creativity.
She's hardly inspired by the "Italian Deep techno style" with artists like Dino Sabatini, Donato Dozzy , Luigi Tozzi and many more...
Her lastest releases were on labels like Silent Season, Annulled Music and marked a distinct style with an hypnotic cap already very present.

We are very proud to host him and his superb dark liveset for the first time here in Berlin at our next event on August 26th as usual at Griessmühle. He will be accompanied by another liveset by Perm and dj sets by Vito Lucente and Kikimike.

@hydrangeamusic ’s life as a producer and DJ began relatively recently, when in 2014 she began expressing the quietness, wonder and intensity of nature in techno. For this prodigious French talent, creating and selecting music is an act of entering a deeper dimension, both transcendent and grounded in the hypnotic beauty of the natural world.

As a producer, she has released her own productions – which are lucid, mesmerising, arresting – on @annulled_music, @two-two-records, and @silent-season.

As a DJ, she is equally inspired by the dancefloors she plays to across Europe as by the nature around her home. She describes this mix for Patterns of Perception as a musical trip for one of her walks in the forest, creating an inner journey while being connected with the surroundings.
