An early and enthusiastic adopter of the mixed tape, Maggie has always loved sharing good music (and audio odysseys) with her friends. This collection of atmospheric deepstep tracks is further along on the continuum of the Subtextures compilation that I put together for Interchill Records back in 2016. It took a few years to assemble and was made for the digital artist Android Jones (www.androidjones.com) who generously let us use a piece of his phenomenal art for the Subtextures cover design. 

Respect and praises to all of the artists and labels who put out such wickedly chill tunes. Much gratitude to J. Job for the finishing touches.

SOMEWHERE OUT THERE

Summertime pool parties - one of my favorite settings for playing music. This set was recorded at the tail end of one such party in 2018. The music had been more energetic all day and I started playing as the sun was setting, while the host started up the fire pit and the last of the revelers gathered around, not quite ready to head home yet. Gentle beats with a little more emotion.
