Strange Prey

In continuing my explorations of electric guitar, I tried using an extensive palette of guitar textures/sounds in this recording.

The tuning for each guitar is different, but the acoustic lead was played in F-A-D-F-C-E.

To Bloom, To Wither

i was asked by man on a grill if i dared to make my own version of the titanic movie soundtrack hit single "my heart will go on", sung by celine dion.
after quite a bit of hesitation i agreed. 
this is the result.

i took a midi of the song and loaded my own recording of water into it as an instrument. i then further modified and filtered that.

i then took the lyrics and cut up and reshuffled them.
i improvised the new sentences and recorded my singing.
of these recorded phrases more and more went out in the assembling process, until i was left with the central words,
"on and on" and "and my heart" and "in my heart", the essence if you will.

i took those parts and further processed them, reversing and stretching and echoing, until i  achieved a watery wavelike ebbing and flowing sensation.
