Weighing in heavy with murderous intent across three guaranteed dance levellers, Trends & Boylan land on Sneaker Social Club with a bang. The pair have been slugging out grime-leaning gear for the past five years, causing a ruckus with their truly evil ‘Norman Bates’ beat, releasing also on Trends own Mean Streets label and linking up with Slimzee’s foundational stable Slimzos for some dubplate action.

They bring that street-level swagger to the tracks on the Ninety Nine EP, but here their punchy 8-bar flex is embellished to blend in with the Sneaker surroundings a treat. ‘Carnage’ tips towards chopped up Think Breaks while ‘Nocturnal’ doubles down on the dirtiest of b-lines. Confirming their allyship from dubplates gone by, Slimzee links up with Trends & Boylan for the double A side slammer, ‘Ninety Nine’, weaving dread-side D&B stabs around a tightly-wound beat with devastating results. There’s not an ounce of excess on these cuts precision tooled to smashup the dance good and proper. Need we say more?

JUDDER launches its own label with the first release being a VA "Judder Compilation #1". Expect nine tracks, exploring bass-oriented sonics around the 130–160 bpm range, from the likes of both worldwide acknowledged and up-and-coming artists. A huge palette of sounds and different moods meticulously flows through each track from the very beginning to an end.

The duo Poima opens the release with hypnotic and viscous swampy vibes, at the same time An Avrin brings groovy dancefloor-ish breakbeat settings. JUDDER resident Oddkut comes in with a percussive-driven heavy-hitter, while Nattah showcases her skills with unpretentious yet deeply pervasive stepper "False Trail". DUBRAW's very own Skotcha delivers pure shellings with a skippy grime-influenced "Shells" and, as usual, Champion Sound are ready to bury the soundboy with nothing but a straight belter. Flint's minimalistic approach to production continues to unfold through an ever-swirling and ever-twisting "Amok" and so does Dawn Razor's with a very funky and dubby dancefloor tool. The one to complete the compilation is Kapha, sharing an enigmatic clicky juke-track "Act & Pause"

The first instalment in the series of JUDDER compilations has brought together a unique selection of talented artists and musicians in order for you to dive deeply into the bass-driven experimental sound.

Spooky has long been one of the hardest working soundmen in East London. At any given time you can see him streaming sets on Insta, blasting out tunes, and being the OG cat he always has been, with a reverence for the roots of Dub, from the Jamaican roots to US Garage and back to his backyard via his Grime/Dubstep/UKG cuts, which are always full of raw depth and swing.

This is why it was more a matter of what to fit on his first EP on LoDubs, given when the conversation was started about RAS Riddims a whole deluge of tracks came our way. Clarty Steppers is not only 6 of the best of those, but 2 bonus tracks in the accompanying DL, and the option to get those 2, and a extra VIP of one of those tunes which will only ever be available via the companion Poly Cut of this release (Details are once again in the DL file).

Welcoming @teffa with a weighty release of 4 tracks that are a representation of his work during different years of production.

Teffa: The tunes are different one from another, yet they have a few similarities too such as trying to express raw power of low frequencies with some melodic soundtrack to go along with it and giving tribute to different things that inspire me as dub, jungle music as well as cosmos altogether round up with a nice summery track (Lemon Haze) to celebrate the beauty of the summer season.
