Lullaby Eulogy

"Lot On 7th" is an alternative hip hop band based in Newark, NJ. The band was conceived in 2013 by Cliff (bass) and Hala (MC) as they walked through a parking lot on 7th Ave on their way to the store. Hala then asked Greg (keys, trumpet) to join the new band. The two had been working on music together for several years. Cliff enlisted Roky (drums), a popular drummer he played with at a local open jam. Each member brings a personal style that creates an aesthetic unique to the collective. The band is committed to musicianship as well as to building and unifying the performing artist community in the Newark area. In 2014, they founded BeCOMe, a monthly open mic night in Newark, aiming to be the most “open” mic, welcoming to all forms of expression, all perspectives, and skill levels. In 2015, the band recorded a live demo at the Coffee Cave which has been released as an EP titled, "#Lo7."
