I am a Sound Engineer from Berkshire County Mass. Since 1993. I started creating music while teaching myself Logic Pro X. I have played a little guitar and bass since I was 12 but didn't have any music to learn to mix at the time so my Honey "Jeanie" bought a Yamaha keyboard from Sammy Brown which I didnt know how to play but I started noodling around started creating a bunch of melodies and loops that would become starting points for new songs. I started experimenting with every cool synth plugin I could get my hands on and started layering different sounds. I added electric and acoustic guitar rhythm parts and started learning to play some leads. I play bass parts with a bass, guitar or synths and learned how to create my own Midi drum loops and later discovered Logics Drummer in the box which I sometimes use as a starting point modify to create more complex drum tracks. I sometime take guitar parts and convert to midi synth or use keys to play guitar parts. I also started integrating Logics library loops and collecting loop packs. Some songs started from inserting a bunch of loop tracks together that sounded good. Sometimes I would wind up with 40-50 tracks from layering sounds. I was just trying to master learning to use Logic and realized I had seemed to have a knack for arranging music which I attribute to the influence of hundreds of bands and thousands of shows of all kinds of genres I had mixed over 30 years.  Over a period of a year I had created about 40 songs and started a 100 more. When Im creating music  I often would wind up with parts that don't work together that I would use to start other songs with sometimes 4 or 5 new songs started at same time.
