this set was an experiment that we developed for the FOLIE à DEUX event organised by @caleesi & @sarahkreis from @circlesandstones. it's three hours of our own music combined in a live setting with synthesizers, drum machines and so on. we hope you enjoy this experimental fusion as much as we did! it features a bunch of upcoming unreleased music as well. huge thanks to the lovely crowd, artists and our favourite venue in leipzig <3

Music has given me so much love and bonding moments throughout my life. This set is a small selection of some old and new gems that have carried me through youth and adulthood, and that have touched me deeply. 

Some tracks have entered this set with a little giggle as they as well are connected to people and moments. So this set truly is a bit of a journey through time and moods. What other place could be better to play this diverse set of tracks than at DUBSTATION.  

When I was asked to play at Fusion Festival my reaction was - "als ob" ("As if").  Fusion has been one of the first festivals my older sister took me to in 2012. Since then a feeling of awe stayed with me. So playing at this incredible festival was overwhelmingly exciting.

I want to thank all the great musicians for sharing their art!!!,
my loved ones for supporting and inspiring me and for holding my shaky hands that day (special thanks to you Matz aka Simon- my biggest support and special love), 
the dubstation for welcoming me to their stage and the fusion festival crew for organising this incredible festival,

After Hours opens immediately, dropping the listener into a smooth, airborne groove with no intro, just motion. A commanding harp leads the journey from start to finish, weaving fluid melodies that feel both ancient and modern. Jazzy electric piano chords and warm funk-infused synth pads create an inviting harmonic bed, while a deep house–inspired kick and crisp snare lock into a steady, confident pulse.

On the chorus, dub-style harmony violin floats above the rhythm, adding lift and soul, as Afro-pop and Arabic instrumental colors subtly dance through the arrangement. Deep percussion, soulful keys, and R&B-influenced phrasing give the melody its emotional weight, while a gentle vinyl crackle wraps the track in warmth and intimacy. The result is a richly layered instrumental that glides effortlessly, grounded by a powerful low end yet carried by melody and texture. Lotte Ahoi’s sound is a melting pot of music selected from various decades and gathered from around the world, beautifully mixed up in a cocktail she calls funkumbiafrorientropical Slothdisco.
Inspired by producers interpreting their own and others’ musical roots, she is breaking clichés by expanding genres and blending them to a new and unique sound. Colorful tunes mirror her fascination for multicultural music, bringing happiness and warmth to her listeners.
