Dansk Folkeparti spiller højt spil ved at satse på Venstres tidligere næstformand Inger Støjberg som ny formand. Om blot 15 dage får hun sin dom i rigsretten, og under normale omstændigheder ville det være helt utænkeligt, at et parti vil turde løbe en så overhængende risiko: Støjberg kan meget vel blive dømt. Men har Dansk Folkeparti overhovedet andre muligheder tilbage? Og vil en dom reelt afskrække vælgerne? Den hidtidige kronprins Morten Messerschmidt, der har anket sin fængselsdom for dokumentfalsk, men først selv får svar i februar, har netop kastet sin støtte ind på Støjberg. Det er dramatiske tider i dansk politik. Statsminister Mette Frederiksen står stærkt svækket i sagen om de slettede sms’er, og hendes troværdighed har lidt endnu et knæk efter en uge. Det har skabt ballade på Borgen, at hun ikke åbnede konvolutter med resultaterne fra politiets undersøgelse af Statsministeriets mobiltelefoner, før kommunalvalget. Har statsministeren forsøgt at påvirke valgresultatet? Hør også sammenbruddet i Skat, hvor det fortsat udskudte og milliarddyre system til  nye ejendomsvurderinger sejler fuldstændig. Er også skatteminister Morten Bødskov ved at komme i fedtefadet? Thomas Qvortrup stiller spørgsmålene. Politisk kommentator Lars Trier Mogensen har svarene.
