Leo Napier is an American soul singer and blues pianist born to British parents. His vocal range and sharp, witty lyrics are deeply rooted in classic soul and R&B fused with Pop. During his short time in New York he became part of a burgeoning EDM underground scene, which led to collaborations with pioneering DJ/Producers Gramatik and Griz. Through the cultivation of these relationships, Leo brought several songs to each project; ultimately landing the lead singles on their 2015 and 2016 releases respectively. ‘A Fine Way to Die’ co-written and featuring Leo Napier was the lead single off Griz’s latest release ‘Say It Out Loud’, garnering millions streams to-date. In March of 2016, Gramatik released his full-length album ‘Epigram’, which includes the single “Native Son” featuring Leo and Wu Tang Clan’s Raekwon.  Leo is finally stepping into the spotlight as solo artist, lending a fresh and inimitable sound to the new wave in British singer-songwriter talent.

We made some studio upgrades earlier this year - among them, we purchased a Korg MS-20. Having a hardware synthesizer in studio has been incredibly inspirational & has made a whole new realm of experimentation possible. With this, we’ve begun to embrace the raw, organic side of electronic music & our sound is evolving to reflect that.

This remix is different than anything we’ve ever done – we couldn’t be more excited to share these new inspirations we’ve discovered. Shoutout to our boys Satchmode for doing a phenomenal job with the original - let us know what you think of the track!

Lotus has crafted a unique musical style outside of simple genre limitations. On a given weekend the band could be the only group with guitars at an all electronic music festival and then the next night crash a traditional rock festival with their dance heavy beats, synths and samples. Equal parts instrumental post-rock and electronic dance, the band's distinguishing feature is the ability to maintain a decidedly unique musical voice and remain current while bucking passing trends.

No matter what the venue, the energetic joy and catharsis of a Lotus show is infectious. The band slowly built a devoted fan base through steady touring and the crowds have grown at an increasing pace. This grassroots growth has made the band in high demand for festivals including Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Ultra, and Rothbury and earned the band sold out shows at the country's premier theatres and clubs.
