After over 3 years of working in Atlantas underground music scene, FAIRIEZ is set to release their debut EP through Atlanta based NIGHTSHADE FAMILY entitled ATROPA, out March 18th. This tape is a culmination of everything that has inspired Dex and Lana in their journey as musicians and djs so far, with 3 tracks of vastly different style and energy. 

The first track FAIRIEZ, pays homage to gritty electropunk energy with a humorous voicemail sample from a time when they were spotted on a flyer. The production is similar to what FAIRIEZ spent their early career inspired by: absurd drum loops, electro bass, vocal chops, and having their name pronounced incorrectly.

FORTUNE is described as “hardest groove” by FAIRIEZ, it’s a beautiful intertwining of hard techno stabs with the warm bass and ambience of a hardgroove track. A beautiful twist in the second half uses reverse bass to send a layer of extra warmth throughout the track, creating a beautiful arrangement sure to make a dance floor sway and spin 

The final track, STALK, is referential to the music that inspired FAIRIEZ long before they were DJ’s and producers. Heavy metal guitars, live bass synth, and 170bpm breakbeats attack the airwaves with unrivaled energy, creating a powerful soundtrack to a mosh pit. The guitars continue, building to a four on the floor techno attack in the second half, completely reigniting the fire that was started in the first. This track is personal to FAIRIEZ, it was created with intention to destroy. 

FAIRIEZ - ATROPA [NSF008] releases on March 18th through NIGHTSHADE FAMILY. They are lined up for many releases this year, and it won’t be hard finding a FAIRIEZ song in your catalogue soon enough.
