01 Minutes hours days

Lou Hickey is a singer, songwriter and vocal coach from Glasgow. 

Having gained an Honours degree in music from Strathclyde University, Lou went on to release two solo E.P.’s before signing to Island records in 2009 in her joint venture as co-writer and vocalist in Codeine Velvet Club with Jon Lawler of the Fratellis, releasing their critically acclaimed self-titled album that same year. 

In 2013 Lou released her first full length solo album, ‘True Love Ways’. 
Partly funded by Creative Scotland, it showcases Hickey's Blues infused vocals and catchy retro-pop hooks, creating an album that is fun, yet beautifully nostalgic at the same time.

As a writer, Lou draws influence from many genres, ranging from Pop and Jazz to Country and Blues.
