The song is based on an Ukrainian Poem by Maryana Savka. The english translation goes somehow like this:

You say hotel and I think of home.
You say nostaligia - I stand under a walnut tree
And I listen to the silence. Because it is quiet. It's so quiet
In this white world, in my heart.
There's frost on the tree, gray as smoke.
The walnut boats are frozen in the ice.
The frost has run over the grass in the morning.
A blue terrace and a cozy veranda.
Breakfast is steaming. The cat is doing the dishes.
(I would hibernate here for the next hundred years).
You know, the light here is honey red.
On the walls, on the floor, on the white plates.
A warm house filled with peace,
Where there's toast with blackberry jam and where
the clock runs a little behind.
What's the hurry? I have a home and a nut.
Deeply anchored in the roots,
And the sky above them is clear as an epiphany.
I stand still for a while and leave them there.
...the nut rolled just under the doorstep.

Dear Bucht Der Träumer Festival Organizers,

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your invitation to perform at the StroboKlo dancefloor. It is a great honor for me to be a part of this wonderful event. I am looking forward to the opportunity to perform in front of your audience and share my music with you.

I know that the Bucht Der Träumer Festival is one of the most important music festivals in Germany. I am always impressed by the atmosphere of this event and the variety of music that can be heard there. I am sure that this will be an unforgettable experience for me and for everyone who comes to the festival.

Thank you again for your invitation. I look forward to meeting you at the festival!

Bucht Der Träumer | StroboKlo 2023

I had so much fun playing that set. Even though the subwoofer wasn't working the first hour I kept going for the recording. When it finally started to work you will hear the lovely crowd that reappeared within minutes to get fetched by my tunes.
