Carla Durisch unveils her debut EP ‘I Just Wanna Dance’ on Crosstown Rebels, with long-standing label favourite and close friend Seth Troxler on remix duties.

An exciting name who looks set for a breakout year in 2023, DJ/producer Carla Durisch is an artist whose passion and deeprooted understanding of electronic music led to her being marked as a talent to keep an eye on. An integral part of the Swiss electronic and club landscape through residencies at the likes of Nordstern (Basel), plus both Hive and Zukunft (Zurich), her recent explorations within the studio have seen her deep and groove-led style translate into her own productions. These explorations are on display for the very first time as she debuts on Damian Lazarus’ renowned Crosstown Rebels imprint, following appearances at Get Lost in Miami and Watergate Berlin, plus forthcoming Ibiza sets alongside the label boss this summer at Hï.

Led by the captivating words of Nanghiti and Carla’s own vocals ‘I Just Wanna Dance’ is a warping and colourful ride through rich synths, refined drums and bright stabs as it builds and descends across an engrossing near-seven-minute journey. Next, ‘Be The Thing is a stripped-back, hypnotic house effort as snaking percussion merges with sharp lead melodies and further vocal interjections.

Needing little introduction, Seth Troxler’s remix of the title cut is an example of the American at his best, fusing bubbling aciddipped bass patterns with skittering percussion and surging synth lines for a trippy, late-night take. To close, ‘4AM’ picks up those early hours sonics as crisp claps, echoed vox snippets and dubby grooves take a hold.

Melbourne's own Alec Smith makes his debut on 43 Degrees Records with "American Express," an EP featuring three original tracks: American Express, Blind Wave, and Focus. The EP also counts with an inventive remix of Focus from Victor Arruda, a young and extremely talented Brazilian producer.
"American Express" kicks off the EP with a driving, melodic bass line that effortlessly draws listeners in and fires up any set. Next up, "Blind Wave" showcases Alec Smith's talent for crafting catchy, dance-inducing melodies, all while maintaining a pulsating rhythm. "Focus" shifts gears, exploring deeper and more hypnotic sounds that keep listeners engaged and moving on the dance floor.
Victor Arruda's take on "Focus" brings a fresh and exciting twist to the track, incorporating his Brazilian influence and adding a new dimension to the EP.

Spanish pair Pig&Dan return to Get Physical Music with another of their well-crafted cuts.

This influential and accomplished duo last appeared on this label in January with two new tracks alongside Canadian artist Siavash. They have now been at the heart of the underground for two decades, putting out seven albums and more than 100 tracks and EPs that cover all house and techno styles in their own signature fashion. For this superb new track they work with LIVI, a fast rising vocalist who put out her own album last year and really brings the class.

The superb 'Electricity' has got summer anthem written all over it - the synths are bright and uplifting and radiate real heat. The house grooves are irresistibly feel good and the effortlressly cool, soul drenched vocal is a scorcher with a nice rolling bassline adding weight as the melodies soar ever higher.

A series of remixes are to follow later this year but for now the glorious 'Electricity' is another standout Pig&Dan original.
