I think the "Athiests don't kill people" is better phrased as "Atheists don't get organised and kill people" like Boko Haram and some of the Christians in Africa.

You forget, the Puckle Gun was shit. It was never adopted by any military to my knowledge. I think it was considered a dead end of weaponry at the time.

Another note: You can't carry a Puckle Gun in your pocket. I don't think the Founding Fathers considered someone carrying a regiment of their day over their shoulder.
