 Born Rabi` al-Awwal 164 AH (November 780 CE), he is known as "The Imam of Ahlu's-Sunnah", Imam Abu `Abdullah Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Hanbal - May Allah ﷻ have mercy upon him. 
 He lived and died, الحمد لله, preaching the correct Religion with the correct understanding (the understanding of the Salaf/Pious Predecessors of Muhammad ﷺ). 
 Even through the immense abuse and false imprisonments he was subjected to by the Abbasid Caliphate, he held firmly to the correct `aqeedah (belief), until he died on the 12th of Rabi` al-Awwal 241 AH (August 2, 855 CE), at the age of 74-75.

May Allah ﷻ have mercy upon the scholars of the Sunnah that have passed and preserve and strengthen the ones with us now.

May Allah ﷻ guide us to The Straight Path and make our feet firm upon it.
