Born Don Dulo, Poppa Don is a performing Hip Hop artist and happens to be one of the cornerstones of the new era of Hip Hop in East Africa. His uniqueness stems from his ability to rap across instrumentals in three languages fluently; English, Swahili & his native language Dholuo.
Apart from the multilingual feat, Poppa has a deep husky voice branding him as the rapper with the biggest voice in Hip Hop East Africa.

Poppa coined his style from that era of lyricism to forge his own Identity with a style he calls “AFROLYRICISM”. Afrolyricism is a school of thought that advocates tracing your roots in an objective approach, with the need to understand oneself and project it boldly, as it reflects ones identity. It is more than the lyrical aspect. It is a way of life that encourages the youth to develop a bold character that represents a model of possibility.
