Our leaders do nothing
As it goes on and on
What’s right or wrong is so obvious
But they talk and talk and talk and do nothing
And the innocent … die

But at least the orange racoon gets the attention he wants
And nutty yahoo delays a criminal prosecution 
Avoiding every possible solution
And the madman in Moscow will only stop
When the rest of the world grows a pair
It really doesn’t matter how many die … just to satisfy

Feed the starving egos of the world

Song I wrote for my sister on her wedding day. Rather than compose the more typical slow song heard at weddings (not that it's a bad thing), I felt inspired to write something a bit different. The idea behind the song is that marriage is truly a celebration of love...something to keep alive forever.

Of New Beginnings

Writing this song was truly a 'spiritual' experience. It is dedicated to the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living in Leest, Germany, and additionally, to all those who were part of the Peaceful Revolution that led to the reunification of Germany. I was particularly inspired by the lives and experiences of my former German in-laws who lived there, both during and after WWII, and for many decades as part of the German Democratic Republic, separated from the rest of the free world by an Iron Curtain and the Berlin Wall, yet making the most of their situation and finding peace and happiness. Reflecting upon them and their forefathers almost made the notes leap out of my mind.
