The Flavian villa, once so grand
Now crumbling stones and barren land
Where treasures gleamed and silk once hung
Now only echoes of what's done

One day the noble Marcus came
With news that brought them both to shame
"The Visigoths have made their offer
To save ourselves, we must now suffer"

Lucius asked, "What will you do?
Our Rome, our honour - see it through?"
