Autumn Mix Vol 3

Being able to DJ Walter Yoga** was truly a dream come true for me. A full circle moment as well, as what first got me into dance music was gong meditations. Once I saw the how powerful dance music can be, I was hooked for life. But like all things, there is a dark side as well. As time went on, I lost my original connection with Dance music, and it became too tied with drugs, alcohol, and escapism. Having hit an all time low, I knew I needed a change and thought I would give up DJing altogether. 

It wasn’t until I found running that I realized how powerful this music actually is. On my first ever 10-mile run, when I felt there was no way I could go on, the music pushed me forward all the way to the end. That’s when I knew that music can move mountains inside of us. My passion for music came back and this time was in a much healthier setting. My creative process for making mixes and preparing sets, completely changed and moved me forward toward my goals. Now finding DJing again but this time without alcohol and drugs has been such a blessing. Being able to connect with music and others again in a yoga setting has been something I never dreamed of when I started, and now coming full circle to Walter Yoga is truly a dream come true for me. 

So when asked to do be a part of Walter Yoga, I put together this collection of tunes that helped me over come adversity, grief, addiction, and pushed me forward into a life I never thought possible. I want to think Plant.Body.Soul Walter Yoga  for trusting and believing in me to provide tunes for such a magical event! I’m endlessly grateful for this opportunity and experience and proud to present this mix of songs that inspires me to go beyond what I ever thought was possible! 

**Walter Yoga started in May 2014 at the historic Walter Studios on Roosevelt & 7th Avenue in Downtown Phoenix. Now taking place the last Sunday of every month at the newly renovated, Walter Studios boasts a new restaurant, where Sunday Brunch will be served from 9 AM-4 PM. Float in after Yoga for some delicious food and thirst-quenching drinks. Come as you are, and soak up the fantastic energy, because at Walter Yoga we specialize in having a good time**

Walter Yoga Mix

What an incredible event Walter Yoga at the Walter Where?House was! Thank you Walter Yoga and the Plant.Body.Soul team!! I am so unbelievably honored and grateful to be apart of the Walter Family. What an incredible class. Taught by Bentley Fazi and an EPIC mediation from Yogi Bryan. This event was truly a dream come true. 

The music for this mix came from a blend of songs that helped me overcome adversity while training from my first Ultramarathon and the AMAZING Bentley who taught this most wonderful class. Music really does has the power to heal and move mountains inside of us. To help us face some of biggest challenges head on and to move through stuck energy / emotions.

Running and music has gone hand and hand for me. There was a time not too long ago that I almost gave up music all together, as it was so tied into drugs and alcohol. Running lead me back into making mixes and back into yoga. To be able to combine all 3 of these passions on the same weekend is something I will never ever forget and always be grateful for <3

Hailing from Phoenix, AZ, Louis IV has been elevating dance floors since 2015. He has played many local Arizona festivals such as June Jam and Gem and Jam and opening shows for national acts such as Random Rab, Dirtwire, and Daily Bread, to name a few. Known for his legendary sunrise sets, his style is a blend of uplifting Disco and House music, but plays anything felt deeply in his heart. 

Recently Louis IV has shifted his focus from only parties and festivals to various Wellness Events ranging from Yoga Classes, Ecstatic Dances, and workout classes. Louis IV continues to evolve to bring his heart vibes to many different avenues.
