Evidence

As a gifted vocalist, Louis Adams-Diaz brings twenty-one years of solid experience and professionalism to every performance. He began performing publicly with his musical family when he was only five years old, singing Christian music for residents at Houston halfway houses. After singing in choir at his Christian school for several years, he performed with the Aldine District Honor Choir for two years before auditioning for the world-class Houston Children’s Chorus. 
 
Louis spent five years in HCC singing collegiate-level music from classical to pop, in 13 different languages. That experience taught him teamwork, stretched and matured his voice, and provided discipline and self confidence. Through HCC he sang for the annual Galveston and Houston Mayor’s and Up-town Tree Lighting ceremonies, the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Dickens on the Strand in Galveston, TX.  He also had the opportunity to mentor underprivileged children for a week each year in Galveston, culminating in a combined performance with them at The Grand Theatre.

Through HCC, by the eighth grade Louis had already achieved many musical milestones: entertaining audiences across the globe in England, Scotland, Japan and the USA; Performing for the Queen of England and for the President of the United States on several occasions; performing for the World Energy Summit in Houston, TX and the Japanese American Summit in Hiroshima.  He ventured into musical theatre in a two week run of “Joseph the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat” with Broadway on the Gulf, and was part of an elite ensemble of eight who performed with Tommy Tune and Shirley Jones for the opening of the Hobby Center in Houston, TX.  He also had the honor of performing at the 2004 Superbowl, singing background vocals for both Beyoncé Knowles and Josh Groban.

Aging out of the Houston Children’s Chorus, he began playing percussion for his church worship team. He also started a rock band, playing drums and singing background vocals in shows at several Houston area venues such as the ExxonMobil music festival.  He ventured out as a solo artist in 2013 playing at wine bars, restaurants, dinner clubs, private parties and The Old Town Spring Crawfish Festival.

After years in various genres, Louis Adams-Diaz ventured into the Texas Country Music scene. Although new to the genre, he quickly opened for Bart Crow who is regarded as “one of Texas’ premier country artists” and Jake Worthington, winner of The Voice, Season 6. Around this time, he began receiving various offers to lead worship and realized this was his true passion. He now uses his talents to glorify God as the Worship Director at John Wesley United Methodist Church
