Female Genital Mutilation in Sierra Leone is the common practice of removing all or part of the female genitalia for non medical reasons. We believe FGM is a Human Rights Violation and child abuse and we as a movement are therefore committed to advocating for its total eradication.

Early this year, we started a social media campaign, working towards ending this practice in Sierra Leone. As part of our campaign, we’ve put together an advocacy song/video to help promote our cause.

We are very much grateful to these two young, inspiring, selfless and mega talented young artists Louise Sia LouLou and Yves Dino Mensa- Bonsu Din...Oh! for putting together such an educative piece.

Mama

Louise is an upcoming contemporary Rap/Hip-Hop/Afrobeats artist from Sierra Leone. She is a versatile artist and with a unique delivery and writing style. 

Born on the 28th of April 1993 in the heart of Freetown, Louise attended the International Primary and Secondary School and completed her senior secondary school education at the International Academy of Science and Business Studies. She is currently a final year student at the University of Makeni pursuing a BSc. in Agriculture and Food Science. 

She fell in love with music at a very tender age, always being involved in musical acts in church and school. The first song she wrote was performed by her youth fellowship choir. She continued writing poems and songs and eventually the inevitable happened when she got a chance to professionally record a song called “Ghetto Gospel” which was never officially released. 

She released her official debut single in June 2018 title “Yagba Fumpor”, a mix tape which was mixed and mastered by the celebrated Ghanaian producer Mobeatz BangR. Louise has now released five singles which have been received well by her fans since she debuted in 2018. 

Louise is presently signed to 55 Music Group under which she continues to release raw and supreme sounds.
