Louis Libran returns with a deep and melancholic song that is written about the loss of love. “Haunted” talks about the sense of delusion he went through and the unescapable feelings he had to face whilst trying to run from old memories. Libran released a heartwarming synth filled love song, in April this year, called “So In Love” that shot a beacon of light through the dark themes Libran usually explores. He wanted to have these two releases back to back, in hopes it would connect with his listeners and show the world the two sides of love.

The verses in Haunted will guide you through his emotional journey with the collection of eerie sounds and sweet vocal melodies. The hard hitting drums, expressive lyrics and harrowing synth riffs throughout the chorus will emerge you into the aural universe Libran creates. This song has haunting bells and eerie melodies mixed with hard hitting, modern trap beats with audacious lyrics. Libran’s lyrics make reference to the hyper sexualisation within the queer community and was inspired by the issues women face in a male dominated world. The verses are packed with rhythm and attitude while the choruses are saturated with vocal melodies and flow.

The song has many vibes and progresses from a dark, fierce verse to an airy light outro. Ultimately, the song follows a fragile love story and focuses on the perspective of how it feels to not feel fully loved in a relationship. 

The percussion is glitchy and thumps, the vocals are melodic and catchy and the synths create an eerie soundscape. Ruin You is a musical journey that explains to the listener through my personal experience of how sometimes it’s better to breakdown then to build a relationship from fake stability. The song’s overall message is that it’s okay to be not okay and to entrust your vulnerable side with your loved ones.”

Louis Libran is a powerhouse electro-pop alternative singer-songwriter and producer, born and raised in the western suburbs of Sydney. Combining his early musical influence of classic rock anthems with heavy and dark synths, restricted minimalistic pop structures and electronic sounds, Louis Libran often uses self-empowerment, personal experiences and politics as a basis for his lyrical choices. Libran often draws inspiration from the likes of Lady Gaga, Die Antwoord, Korn and Frank Ocean. 

Since 2011, Libran has been song-writing, composing and producing from his bedroom, all while being a self-taught guitarist, bassist and pianist. Playing bass and singing backing vocals since 2016 for the grunge-alternative band The Violet Stones, he has written music and recorded in the studio for their first full-length album, named 'Exordium'. Starting a tertiary education in a Bachelor of Music, Libran discovered that his passion lied within music production and dropped out of university to kickstart his career within the music industry. Throughout his teenage years until now, Libran procured drama and performance skills that have undoubtedly strengthened his ability to feel comfortable and confident on the big stage. In his downtime, Libran is a vocal coach and tutors students at two music schools in Sydney's west, helping them find their voice and uncover their full potential.

The solo artist is working towards pursuing his vision and dream of producing a unique and niche sound within the mainstream music scene, making it clear that he will not stop at anything. Libran wants to commit to his art to the fullest, all while being true to himself and to his music.
