Garnet is the music project of Lunna Santos from Brasil. She joined us at Parvati Records this past December and we are now extremely happy to present you here her debut EP on the Label.
Her sound have strong characteristics that wonder through Forest and Dark Psy but without attaching to a specific style. What is most important is that her music is giving the dancefloors strong moments of intense trance, deep psychedelic journey and a full power dance!

"Feeling Awake" in this Parvati episode is GARNET, the result of the musical expression of Lunna Santos. Lunna began to venture into the world of electronic music in 2017 when she started attending rave parties and became interested in DJ sets at the time. In 2019, she began to look at new musical experiences and decided that it was time to take the next step and build her own sounds, so she began her studies in electronic music production, creating her Garnet project. Her sounds have strong characteristics that go through Forest and Dark but without attaching his creativity to a specific style, always providing a unique and psychedelic experience for those who listen. The live set contains tracks from Garnet's debult EP recently released at Parvati Records and her other songs.

Künstler Bio:

At an early age, Hammerschmidt began to explore different types of music and instruments and started to make music on his own at the age of 10 already. He then fell in love with electronic music when he was 13 years old. At the age of 15, Eric took his first steps in producing and as a DJ. After a long journey, he found his passion in dark and impulsive techno music. With his unique style, he has surprised many clubs, parties and dancers all over Germany while developing his signature sound further and further.

This album relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Oberheim OB6, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

What a night this was.

Closing set at Camp Diode was amazing and my good friend DiP let me tag team with him.  This was 2am to 4am and the theme of the night was techno.  In some ways, this was actually a three person tag team, because we both are heavily influenced by our friend Jenny Andromeda.  She is the queen of a certain type of hypnotic techno that is played at Boston's Infra shows, and we both had folders with all of this music.

DJ'ing as a tag team is similar to comedy, there's a "straight man" who keeps the music on theme, and then there's the other guy, who throws everything off course to try to crack the straight man.  DiP and I both have ADHD, which is in large part why we are multi genre DJs, because we can't focus too long on any one thing.  Tag teaming with my brother DiP then becomes very chaotic and off the rails, so luckily we had the silent partner Jenny Andromeda with us to keep us on track with the techno theme.

I discovered something that night...  I am a scene jumper who plays shows at many different types of events.  Firefly is a regional burn, so this is a "burner" event.  I played two psytrance tracks - which I thought were very good - and watched the crowd dissipate into the woods.  On the second track, DiP came to me and said "we don't play that music here"!  Evidently the east coast psytrancers and the burners have beef.  Who knew.

Special shout outs to Ryan Manta, Mike Incillio, and Damien Paul.  If it weren't for their hard work, I would never have gotten to have this night.  It is probably the best crowd I've ever played to.
