First attempt at creating a mix. To make it easier for myself I used  transitions only (no effects) and tracks from the same artist. This test run was created on an old PC using the free version of Virtual DJ.

Having problems with consistency in the volume levels. Sounds lousy through headphones, worse still through speakers. Note to self - buy some proper equipment, fix the errors in the mix, get a pro to master it.

I first heard mixed music when my family moved from Australia to the U.K in 1984. It was Street Sound's Electro 2, a compilation tape of electro and old school hip hop. I immediately fell in love with the genre. Some favorites are listed below:
