“Total Control of Perception” tells a story in four chapters - a chronological progression of the life trajectory of a spiritual aspirant. Both abstract and conceptual as well as somewhat autobiographical for myself, the four tracks paint pictures of four emotional, spiritual, and subconscious chapters of a single lifetime. The chapters are outlined as (re)birth and dissolution, degeneration into hopelessness, a catalytic spiritual awakening, and ultimately a declaration and recommitment to self-mastery.

After the EPs "Collapsar" on Shipwrec released in 2023 and "Beyond the Invisible Spectrum" released on Dax J's label Monnom Black in Spring 2025, Umwelt returns on his own imprint back with a new explosive solo EP. As always on New Flesh Records and following his last solo releases on his label with "Escape The Future" EP in 2020 and the beautiful dystopian album "Subversive Territory" in 2022, expect nothing less than an epic collection of uncompromising electro assaults from the master of darkness.

"Echoes Of The Broken Future" delivers an ecstatic fusion of sonic landscapes and innovative melodies, further erasing the boundaries between electro and techno. From the metallic synthesis of the title track, to the cinematic and almost nightmarish tension of "Blackout Algorithm", through the hypnotic depth of "Synthetic Nightfall" or the relentless energy of "Zero Point Machine", Umwelt once again showcases his unmatched savoir-faire in crafting haunting atmospheres over punishing beats.

Accordingly, so do the artists contributing to this special compilation; a showcase of unique styles 
and methodologies in crafting psychedelic patterns of arpeggiated sounds and catchy rhythmic flow. 
Just like the very core concept of DNoir, we all come from black, 
but represent its varied shades! 
The practice of adopting the same format in the production of psytrance has left open 
a space in which a new form of research and experimentation is possible.
