From the ominous opening track "Trick Of The Mind" to the driving beats of the title track "Matter Takes Shape", this release is an intense and immersive experience from start to finish. Jaise also pairs up with long time collaborator Modal for the impeccably crafted "Into The Cards" which rounds of this long player. 

Drawing on influences from across the drum n bass spectrum, Jaise has created a sound that is both familiar and fresh, with nods to classic techstep, autonomic, and atmospheric drum n bass. The result is a release that will appeal to both longtime fans of the genre and newcomers alike.
