We understand a set as a journey into the unknown. To enjoy this journey you need time, that is why we came to the conclusion of only doing extended sets of at least 3h from now on. This year I will play fewer times, but longer, and if they are all like one of the last sets I played in 2021, we will all enjoy it very much. More than 6 hours, starting at 10:30 AM, after an early morning of Meditation and Yoga in Barbarenas, an eco paradise in southern Mexico. Many things happened this day, you can hear it for yourself. This is the “Story of my life”

Podcast #29 was created specially for the Urban Cosmonaut Radioverse and consists of unreleased & mesmerizing productions, collaborations and remixes that come together in a gentle wave of beautiful melancholy.
Describing his own music as an “ear massage” that translates downtempo vibrations of love, his sound is soulful, ethnic and shamanic. Heavily influenced by the music of Nicolas Jaar and Nu, the native Peruvian started producing music at 17 upon his arrival in America in an effort to express what was inside himself when mixing wasn’t enough. 
And although his own productions touches listeners from all corners of the globe, Lemurian hasn’t forgotten his roots and regularly seeks inspiration from his mystical home of Peru. This podcast is a true expression of just that - his unique self: influenced by many cultures, driven by a sense of melancholy and bound to transcend barriers.

We met @Steffenkirchhoff in March this year, when he came to play during our first Shamanic Love event. He opened the night with a cacao ceremony and it turned out to be one of the most intense and most beautiful moments that we have had here in Amsterdam this year. Since then we have been in regular contact, he performed at the final stage of our Love Caravan in Berlin in June and is working currently on a track for our new social music label @hugrecords. So enjoy this lovely recording of one of his past live performances and make sure to check Steffen out during one of his many festival gigs this summer, it is an experience we can truly recommend.  We are thankful that we have met and look forward to many more beautiful moments together!

The Olmec culture was defined and unified by a specific art style. Crafted in a variety of materials—jade, clay, basalt, and greenstone, which is an archaeologist's term for carved, green-colored minerals—much Olmec art is naturalistic. Other art expresses fantastic anthropomorphic—human-shaped—creatures, often highly stylized, using an iconography reflective of a spiritual meaning. Common motifs include downturned mouths and cleft heads, both of which are seen in representations of were-jaguars and the rain deity.

Janoma’s signature sound reflects his many influences and interests. A Black Forest native, Berlin resident and urban ecosystem scientist by trade, he is a versatile music selector at heart. <3
His passion for music was born at his first open air raves in nature, where he found himself connecting to the energy and calm vibes that shaped his specific style of playing music. Over the years, his sound has developed into his own brand of storytelling: it is organic and deep, criss-crossing different genres and styles with skill and an innate sense for the energy on the dance floor. Never afraid to include shamanic and traditional tribal elements into his sets, he has been known to take listeners on journeys through colorful atmospheres and throbbing beats, showing a deep instinct for timing and suspense as he paints a vivid picture for the inner eye to see.
