<br>early 2014 the Love Harder Crew came up with the idea of honouring the island of Ibiza with its own Love Harder Sampler. Pretty soon they all realized that in order to really pay tribute to the island they cannot just compile previously released tracks or B-Sides. This island with all its inspiration and musical history deserves brand new tracks. Finally 15 tracks produced by the Love Harder crew and their friends have been selected to celebrate the beauty of Ibiza in one Album.

In the late 1920s, The Bearded Man did the only logical thing he could think of: he ran a speakeasy. Originally he called his gin joint “The Blind Pig”, but a woman battling vision impairment of a rather large girth who lived across the street took objection to the term so he had to change it. In a moment of inspiration, he called it “Discover Love”. The front masqueraded as a greeting card and gift shop, with various romantic knick knacks, trinkets, whatchamacallits, aplenty. In the back there was a wall where fresh flowers were sold. He put a plastic bunch in the back that looked wilted and nearly rotten, so no one ever picked it up. However, if you gave the plastic flowers a tug, a secret door would open to one of the finest bars in town.

Fledgling label Dancing Nation Records is preparing to release its first offering, an exciting piece of pop history from the iconic 80s duo Mel & Kim.

Unbelievably, three decades have passed since the last official Mel & Kim single but Dancing Nation Records are excited to announce the release of the trailblazing duo's fifth official single, a completely unknown track titled 'Where Is Love' which, despite being completely unknown to Mel & Kim’s legions of fans, was intrinsic to the incredible worldwide success they achieved in the late 1980s.

Originally written for inclusion on the 1986 demo tape which won the East London sisters their first record deal, ‘Where Is Love’ paved the way for a string of smash hit singles, the multi platinum selling album ‘F.L.M’ and a career in pop music which, quite remarkably, continues to resonate some 30+ years later.  

The label has enlisted an eclectic mix of established names and exciting up and coming production talent to reinterpret ‘Where Is Love’ for its 2018 release including remixes by FINAL DJS, Kissy Sell Out and 7th heaven to name a few.

A work ethic that’s affectionately being taken care of both in the overall vision and the small details. 

Equipped with years of music business experience and united by an equally long friendship the Munich based duo of Alex Mallios and Nick Bader made their dream come true in 2012 by founding the connoisseur indie label Love Harder. Their common goal: to release a few but stylishly selected tracks and thereby enrich the genre they always have been fans of themselves: house music. In all its facets. And all its possibilities.

The start for Love Harder couldn’t have been better: releases by signings such us Achilles & One, Guardate, Alex Mallios and Leo Kane not only garnered euphoric reviews, they regularly found their way into the upper regions of various genre charts.

But despite the great (media) feedback, the commercial success and inevitable label expansion the Love Harder-makers never lose sight of their original vision: to share the music they love with as many like-minded people as possible. Und to pass on the inspiration they repeatedly drew from the sounds in the clubs of their hometown of Munich.
