Here’s something that will get your senses tingling: a 4-track release by Colombia’s number one house prodigy: Felipe Gordon. His ‘Highly conductive rhythms’ EP has the talented producer showcasing the depths of his sound with classy compositions ranging from jazzy deep house to funky acid.

Felipe is someone who you might call a prolific producer: he’s had 6 releases last year on labels like Shall not Fade, Local Talk, Lost Palms and Toy Tonics and this year he’s already dropped a handful of releases including his spectacular album “A landscape onomatopeya”. Despite this crazy release schedule, Felipe has made sure to deliver a stunning record for Heist, something he’s been dreaming of ever since he started making music. 

The lush opener ‘Highly smooth tone’ features the jazzy work of Cuban horn player Julio Rigal, who delivers a sublime performance with his crackling trumpet work reminiscent of St. Germain’s 2001 album ‘Tourist’. There’s a deep bass and fine synth work to give the track some weight, which balances out perfectly with the chopped keys and loose drums.

‘Highly deep and conductive’ takes things even deeper. It’s warm pads and crunchy sub bass support a snare loop that feels like a marching band on its way to the nearest club. The subtle vocal chops (You’re gonna miss my love) are on point in defining the melancholic character of the track. The mid-track arpeggio and bumpy synth hits make for a perfect changeover in a track that breathes deep house to the fullest.

On the flip, Felipe delivers the acid drum workout ‘Highly corrosive acid’. This might seem like unfamiliar territory for the producer, if it wouldn’t have been so expertly crafted. We can almost feel the sweat dripping off the walls of the clubs this will be played in. If this is acid Felipe Gordon style, please give us more. 

The final track of the EP is ‘Highly rhythmic pace’: a classic bumpy deep house track with chopped keys, bells, chants and a fair amount of grunt in the bass. This is a groovy finish to a well-crafted and amazingly varied EP. We’re glad Felipe got to release on Heist and this might well be the start of something great.

Continuing 2022 schedule with another new signing. This time, Lazy Days welcome Milton Jackson and Matt Masters with their first ever collaboration.

Releasing his first record at 18 years old on Tronic Sole and being called by Jockey Slut magazine ‘the most exciting thing to happen to UK house music’, Barry Christie (aka Milton Jackson) went on become a household name in House Music, in part due to his break through track “Ghost In My Machines” on Freerange. The track won a Beatport Award for Best Deep House track of 2008 and in 2009, he also won the DJ Awards in the Deep House category at Pacha (Ibiza). He then went on to DJ around the world and remix artists such as : Romanthony, Recloose (Planet E), Joey Negro, Groove Armada, etc… He also collaborated with SHOW-B as Pattern Select and with Shur-I-Kan, with whom he runs the Dark Energy label. After a short hiatus, Milton Jackson is back with new releases on Housewax, Freerange, Closer To The Truth and Lazy Days.

Matt Masters is not only an accomplished DJ and Producer but he has worked for Freerange Records for the last 18 years. He hosts the monthly Freerange radio show and also works for their excellent label sister label, Delusions Of Grandeur. As a producer, he’s collaborated with Pezzner as Arithmetics, Mr Cenzo as MidiDropMusic, Jimpster and most recently Milton Jackson for this new EP on Lazy Days Recordings. 2019 saw the release of his debut LP “Never Ending Nights” and he is currently working on some new material for his next LP.

On their first collaborative EP “Viaggio”, Milton & Matt take us deep into their sonic journey through 3 tracks filled with textures, choice samples and beautiful keys without ever losing touch of the dance floor. All the best ingredients we’ve come to expect from the UK Deep House sound we love. On the remix for Viaggio, Fred Everything strips things down a bit, adding key stabs and percussions as well as his signature bounce to the track. Here’s to hoping this is only the first in a series of collaborations from the pair!

Equipped with years of music business experience and united by an equally long friendship the Munich based duo of Alex Mallios and Nick Bader made their dream come true in 2012 by founding the connoisseur indie label Love Harder. Their common goal: to release a few but stylishly selected tracks and thereby enrich the genre they always have been fans of themselves: house music. In all its facets. And all its possibilities.

The start for Love Harder couldn’t have been better: releases by signings such us Achilles & One, Guardate, Alex Mallios and Leo Kane not only garnered euphoric reviews, they regularly found their way into the upper regions of various genre charts.

But despite the great (media) feedback, the commercial success and inevitable label expansion the Love Harder-makers never lose sight of their original vision: to share the music they love with as many like-minded people as possible.
