Love Fever, the infamous and erogenous East London discotheque and record label return with some late night works in the form of Ron Jason' and Kim Ann Foxmans 'Dream Project'.
After Rons paradise garage evoking and much played "Paradise Lost" with Love Fever regular Larry Heards remixes caught the ear of Alex & Andy last year with its depth and sincerity, Ron was tracked down, discovered as Italys enigma Simoncino and connected with New Yorks fly girl and modernist diva Kim Ann Foxman to explore possibilities in house.
The outcome is a raw 5 track EP drawing inspiration from classic Chicago house with the Master C&J evoking "M", a Blue Jeans interpretation on "R" and a melodic yet somber lead Track "E" where you find a modern baseline chugging below analogue synth lines and Kim's individualistic approach to vocals.
The record pays hommage to an era in house lost, deepest Chicago and New York with a not so subtle dedication to long time friend of Rons, Dream 2 Science. With water droppings and sexual intensity harking back to early 90s masterpiece My Love Turn Ro Liquid on "A"

Love Fever is back with one for the heads and with releases ready to role expect a lot more of the good stuff from the label that launched helped pave the way for Bicep and Citizens emergence in house over the last year.

Record will be in shops end of septmember.

An A&A Mix. Afternoon Delight / Drive Time

Love Fever is an East London based outfit famed for their salacious soirées in a variety of the capitals basements, lofts, art galleries and strip clubs. The associated label ‘Love Fever Records’ is a vinyl only project aiming to outlet physical chunks of the muggy eroticism that’s clung to the air at the parties. With previous releases from Bicep, Citizen and Ron Jason & Kim Ann Foxman, the next installment comes from party regular and Voyeurhythm co-founder - Ben Sun backed up by Australia’s Mic Newman (aka Fantastic Man). Together the pair fit the remit like a glove using nothing but the Juno-60, MPC60 and S3000 to bring together sizzling textures, swollen synths and sultry, creeping vocals and create a steamy and palpable atmosphere.

‘Fall Upon You’ is a brooding opener - granular synths and clicks are propelled by a full-bodied throb and a softly rotating bass sequence. A vocal reprise is dropped in and out, bolstering progress alongside gently bubbling Juno patterns. Slightly more physical than it’s predecessor, Ben Sun’s own ‘Shadow Dance’ steadily progresses behind flickering hats, darting clap patterns and a glacial synth drone. Vocals refrains fall in and out while melodies continually blossom until the close.

Andy Bird & Kasra V mix // B2b Live & Raw At Love Fever

This special one off collaboration sees Berlin prodigy Max Graef, coupling with globe trotter Fantastic Man aka Mic Newman. With Mic living in Max's broom cupboard for a few vodka soaked weeks in Berlin last autumn, there was a beautiful inevitability that some music would outcome. The lead track "Soothe Me" is no noodly shrinking violet, but a grade 10-cross-genre-dance-floor-destroyer which Andy snapped up for label on first listen. Clearly taking it's inspiration from the Rhodes and sample drenched Sound Signature Detroit label and adding in live instrumentation, tape effects, for a track rich in Steely Dan sensibility, coupled with a sub bass and twisted lead line dragging us into a new year. The B-Side Relaxin' At The Flip is a raw slab of analogue goodness, flying 606 high hats, a tough kick drum and simple elements driving the track forwards, best heard 8am in a dark corner of a club.

After cult heroes Bicep delivered the inescapable sell-out ‘Stripper’ earlier this year, the second Love Fever release comes from burning London talent, Citizen and features a ‘Deeper Touch’ collaboration from Detroit’s wayward freakster, Jimmy Edgar.

Born out of East London's underground party, Love Fever Records seeks to expand on the erotic potency of the parties late nights and early mornings guided by residents come label owners A&A. The emerging sound, a heavy leaning on purist house dosed up on sleaze, grinding up against something to some romantic techno.

A Love Fever regular, Laurence Blake AKA Citizen is the dreaded up South London cool kid with a fresh sound full of modernity and attitude. His productions punch so hard, A&A stole him from their dancefloor after a personal demo delivery impelled the boys to get the music on record for the world to hear. Quietly rocking London dancefloors with his heavily defined, underground sound for the past few years, parallels have since been drawn with major British breakthroughs Julio Bashmore and Wbeeza. With the debut ‘Deep End EP’ on Kerri Chandler’s MadTech causing a stir Citizen looks set to become a prolific talent as he enters the Love Fever Records hall of infamy.

A side ‘Room Service’ gives you that call girl temptation, getting straight to the point with smoky bass and teasing intonations leading up to the flipped out vocal, stabbing synths and body rocking drop. ‘You Give me that something is the warmer, body melting B side, soulful vocals in pools of distorted chords and immersed in Citizen’s signature sound bed of rich bass filtered through a tight house groove. Add to that Jimmy Edgars twisted take on the Love Fever parties sound that slows down in tempo but with an added electronic sensuality for a “Deeper Touch” and you have something rather beautiful.

With a wandering hand in the pool of the globes most revered house and techno elite, expect future Love Fever releases with luminaries such as Larry Heard, Wolf + Lamb as well as the boys themselves…

The Trax EP is the second release for Citizen on Love Fever - a Nottingham schooled, London-based producer. Undulating atmospheres and an infamous '90s trance motif circulates the background of "Everything", as skittling percussion and hit-hats are sequenced at force. The astutely crafted vocal phrases of "Worship & Tribute" occupy the liminal zone between sound and song, reinforced by heavy warehouse chords, while "Glastique" harks back Jason Nevins' house-pop hit "I'm In Heaven", only done in Citizen's deep and riffing style.

Straight out of Egypt via Berlin comes this excellent two-tracker from the little-known Son of Sun. According to the press release accompanying the Whispers EP, both tracks were inspired by a week sailing a yacht around the Black Sea. True or not (we have our doubts), there's certainly a sun-kissed laziness - despite weighty kick-drums and hissing, Detroit techno style cymbals - about the woozy, Dubtribe Soundsystem style deep house of A-side "Moonchild". While impressive, the real killer is "Whispers", which peppers a swinging, Dance Mania style hip-house groove with snaking saxophones and atmospheric, spoken word vocals. It feels like a late night Adriatic anthem in the making.

Citizen's rise as a DJ and producer since LFR002's 'Room Service' two years has been on an astonishing trajectory, with worldwide gigs and his records supported by the biggest names in dance music. Paul 'Trouble' Anderson - Kiss FM 1992 Mix

Irish maestro John Daly is someone who came on the label's radar a few years ago through a mutual stoner friend in Barcelona We've watched from afar as his career has blossomed and snapped the chance to get him on board after catching his truly stupendously good live show earlier in the Summer. Layered, progressive, modern electronic music with ethereal harmonics and a nod to analogue forefathers is a universal in John Daly's musical cannon. And with Shine he's formulated a song that could encapsulate a moment in time at a Love Fever party. That 5am throb. Peaks and lows of a breather in the night,the sweating crowd, the stabbing baseline and fluctuating strings played loud and proud. 
In short, and unstoppable EP from a producer on the very top of his game. A Detroit influenced yet clearly very contemporary EP with strong support already on this one. 
With the B-Side, Desake floats into the EP, with a lead vocal stab layering into a dream-like baseline and rolling drum pattern continuing where Shine left off. And Journey's End may well be the secret weapon on this EP, playing out like a bard's lament. Minor chords & solemn pad work evoking the brutality and futility of lost love (and how many techno tracks can you say that of!).

After a simply incredible and joyous Love Fever Records label party in Berlin with jimmy edgar bicep and citizen. A&A return to London for a spooky and special Halloween discotheque with the legend of house music that is David Morales.

Morales will be going through his incredible back catalogue of red zone and def mix classics and disco jams for a true underground love fever mix. We simply can not WAIT. after all getting topless together at horse meat a few months back and his early 90s house being the soundtrack to many a love fever it had to be done.

Determined to keep the vibe sensual the dress code will be "Halloween Decedance and Debauchery". possibly the finest of all parties, our halloween disco of 2011 still holds in the memory, cross dressed playboys, faded females looking for trouble, it was an amaying night and we cant wait to do it all again.

The venue will be in Shoreditch and it will have untold projections, funfair and extra treats for a Halloween with the Love Fever twist.
